S2E5

"Damon..." I stopped in my tracks as Damon and I walked into the Mystic Grill, one month after being freed from their grip. They'd been unheard of since that day. Hope was sitting at a table.
"Damon, Sky funny running into you two."
"What are you doing here?"
"You see I was on my way back home when a certain someone had caught my eye." Hope explains.

"Hey Sky." I turn to the speaker.
"Danny?" I gasp. "This is the girl you met?"
"Yeah. Sky meet Hope, Hope this is my sister Sky and her boyfriend Damon."
"Pleasure." She fake shakes my hand.
"You two should sit with us. Hope is really important to me."
"Danny we need to talk."
"I'm a little busy Sky."
"Fine than I'm going to the bathroom. Hope would you care to join me?"
"No." I grip her wrist.
"I think you do."
"Fine we'll be back." She excuses us.

"What are you doing?" I yell at her.
"You're free because I chose love over power, well I found love."
"My brother!"
"I didn't know he was your brother. Completely opposite. Anyways I want to sweep our history under the rug because I do care for your brother."
"Seriously? I call bull crap and I'm exposing you." I turn to leave.
"He knows!"
"Knows what?" I take my hand off the door.
"He knew about vampires, I assume from you? I told him who I was and what I am. He did some quick research and knows what I've done."
"You didn't tell him about me?"
"I'm not the reason you're dead and I'm not hiding what I did to you. You can tell him or I will eventually. Daniel had accepted me, flaws and all. I love him, and I won't hide from him."
"Does Klaus know?"
"So my daddy can crucify him? He'll be informed later."
"You won't hurt my brother? Physically or mentally?"
"I don't plan on it."
"Or me?"
"Not currently."
"Fine you can date my brother."
"Oh honey you thought it was your choice?" She laughed and tossed her hair before walking out to the table. For some odd reason I trusted her and kind of liked civil Hope.

"Where did you two meet?"
"I came here for a bite to eat and rain into this handsome stranger."
"Oh really?"
"Love at first sight I guess."
"So you know everything about each other?"
"The fact that she's part hybrid and witch? Badass."
"Danny do you know about her family?"
"Dad is the second most dangerous thing on earth, mom is badass too and married to her uncle Elijah who's an honorable man, Freya was her one aunt, uncle Cole is half vampire half witch and married to Davina, Finn was crazy, Rebekah and Marcel are crazy in love etc."
"So you got the family history."
"She got ours."
"Great." I fake smile.

Salvatore Boarding House
"No my little brother cannot be with her! She tried to kill me! Twice!"
"He's a tough kid."
"What if he wants to be a vampire?"
"That's his choice."
"No! He gets the human life! He'll have kids and grow old!"
"What if he doesn't want it?"
"That's what he gets! He gets that!"
"Do you envy him?"
"Of course I do..." I realized what I said in my rant. "No I mean... you know I didn't want to be a vampire at first. I love my life how it is now, but if I had the option."
"You would've stayed human."
"That doesn't mean I don't love you Damon. I love you so much that you make an eternity seem like such little time."
"You want kids?"
"No." I say barely audible. "I never thought about it before. I didn't want them cause I didn't see my future that far. Yes now that I don't have that option I realized I could've wanted kids to love and raise. That doesn't mean I do want them."
"But you might? As time goes on."
"I don't know..."
"I took that option away from you."
"Damon stop that. We talked about you not blaming yourself for that."
"I'm the reason you had vampire blood in your system!"
"If I hadn't I would've actually been dead right now!"
"I slept with the girl! That's why you stormed out of here!"
"If that didn't kill me something else would have! Either way Damon I wouldn't have kids in the future because I'm so madly in love with you! I would've been human and you being a vampire couldn't give me children!"
"You could've gone to a sperm bank!"
"Don't you get it? I don't want babies if they aren't yours! I only want to carry your children. You're the only one I want to be with. It's you and me forever baby and I'm in it for the long hall." Damon gets excited at my words and pulls me in for a deep kiss. I loved this man with every part of me that I didn't care about kids or growing old. I just need him.

Sky's House
"Danny, we need to talk."
"About?"
"Hope."
"She said you might try to convince me not to be with her."
"No it's not that. I just want you to be careful. Her family is very powerful and if you do something she doesn't like she can seriously hurt you Danny."
"Jesus Sky stop! I know about her family. I'm willing to risk it."
"Risk getting killed?"
"She's never hurt me!"
"Yes she would Danny!"
"You just have it out for her! You're so selfish Sky let me be happy!"
"I don't have it out for her!"
"Yes you do!"
"Danny she tried to kill me! Twice! That gives me reasonable doubt about her!"
"You're alive aren't you?"
"You'd risk everyone in this family's safety for some girl?"
"Yes I would. I love her."
"Oh and I'm the selfish one."
"Yeah you are! I could've been dating someone totally different if I'd still be living at home. You made us move so you caused this. It's always the Skylar show isn't it? Get out."
"Danny we're not done here!"
"I am! I'm dating Hope and you need to get on board or shut up."
"Danny!"
"Sky! I'm not some little brother you can order around!"
"Fine! Date her. Marry her. But remember only one of you lives forever." I walk out.
"For now."
"What?!" He slams the door close. Not good.
