"Congrats Sky!"
"Thank you guys for being with me on my last year of high school."
"Do you want to go to college?"
"Hell no even as a human college wasn't in my future. We should celebrate."
"We're going to the huge bonfire they throw every year in the woods."
"I'm in!" I respond go Caroline.

~Salvatore Boarding House~

"Well hello beautiful."
"Hey babe, we're partying tonight wanna join?"
"Bunch of random kids getting drunk and playing god awful music or sexy naked girlfriend in my bed all night," he weighed his hands.
"Hmm partying with your girlfriend and siblings and maybe getting lucky afterwards or home alone doing yourself." I copied by weighing my hands.
"Well played."
"I thought so." I giggle before kissing him softly on the lips.

"I have a present for you."
"I love presents!" He hands me a small jewelry box and I slowly open it. I revealed a huge diamond ring with smaller diamonds around it. "Oh my god Damon." I lower the box to see that he was now on his knee.
"Skylar Jane André I love you more then you could ever imagine. You're the love of my life, my other half, and the one I want to spend eternity with. Will you do me the honor of becoming my wife?"

~Later That Night in the Woods~

"Hey Care."
"Oh finally where have you been?"
"I was with Damon for awhile but I couldn't miss the party! Where's Stefan?"
"Getting me another drink. Where's Damon?"
"I don't know if he's coming."
"What's wrong?"
"He asked me to marry him."
"What? So soon?"
"Right it's crazy!"
"By the looks of your bare finger, I'm assuming you said no?"
"Kind of. I said I needed time to think about it. We've only known each other a couple of months and only just started dating. I have no idea what he was thinking."
"I wouldn't have been surprised if you said yes. You two have been so happy and at peace the past few months you've been together. You two are forever."
"Who's forever?"
"Hey Ty. Damon popped the question to Sky."
"What? Already?"
"Are you surprised? It's Damon."
"Alright I guess not."
"Aye there's my future sister in law! Did he purpose?"
"You knew?" Caroline and I ask in shock.
"Who do you think helped him buy the ring? Let me see."
"Stefan she said maybe."
"Maybe?" He faces me. "The only reason I helped him do it is because I knew you'd say yes."
"And she still might. She just needs some time to adjust."
"How'd he take it."
"Well after I said I needed time to think he got up off his knee, I handed the ring back, and he said okay. It was awkward and I left."
"I should go check on him."
"No need baby bro I'm here and I'm all good."
"Damon."
"Skylar please I know we're meant to be together, so I'm not worried." I don't know what to say and neither does anyone else.
"Come on it's a party. Let's celebrate!"

"We should talk."
"What's there to talk about beautiful? Today may not have been the day you say yes, but there's an eternity ahead of us."
"You're really okay with all of this?"
"Of course I am. Now would my lady like another drink?" I smile and hand him my cup.

"He's so not okay."
"I know Ty, and I don't know how to get back to our normal."
"It'll be a while. His ego is just a bit bruised, just wait until he's healed."
"Until then?"
"Until then you're graced with the presence of awkwardly cool Damon."
"Oh goodie."

"Your drink," Damon hands me the cup.
"Would you like to walk around with me?"
"Where too?"
"I was just thinking that in the many places I've had sex in, the woods was never one of them."
"Right now with all these people around?"
"What's wrong you don't want too?"
"I'm not really up for it right now."
"Ugh should I leave you two alone?"
"No. Usually you're twisting my arm to have sex in random places but now you're not up for it?"
"Just not tonight?"
"So you're just going to blow me off because I said that I needed time to think about the engagement?"
"Of course not."
"Then what Damon?"
"It's nothing."
"Really? Then let's go into the woods right now."
"Sky..."
"Why not now?"
"Because! Yeah I'm mad that you didn't say yes to the proposal. I was scared out of my mind and you said no!"
"I haven't said no yet!"
"Well clearly you don't want to or else you would've said yes!" Tyler was beginning to creep away until I grabbed him by the arm and set him still.
"We've only been dating a couple of months! I barely know you!"
"You know everything about me! Good and bad!"
"You don't know me!"
"What don't I know?"
"I was rapped!" That was probably the wrong timing to tell him that. It was the first secret that came to mind when I was yelling.
"Sky," Tyler looks at me with pity in his eyes.
"Baby..." His eyes were just like Ty's. This is why I don't tell anyone. I don't want to be pitied. No one knows, not even my family.
"I can't be here anymore." My emotions flood me, and I know if I stayed here for too long in this state that I'd rip through someone's throat.
