Be Jake:

I'm 6 now. I'm starting my first day of Kindergarten. Momma kisses my head as she drops me off.

"I love you Momma." I say closing the door. I start walking away. I hear the window roll down and she shouts, "I love you Jake!" When I look back at her. We both smiled. She blew me a kiss then waved and drove away.

I approached the school building. Staring at the sign. "Alternia Elementary," read the sign. I walked into the office. A lady was at the front desk. "Hi, umm. Where's my teacher's room?" I asked her. She smiled at me.

"What's your name young boy?" She asks me.

"Jake!" I say happily. I love my name. She smiled again.

"And your last name?" She asks, typing something.

"Umm. Egi- no it was, Er-. English! My last name is English!." I said.

She giggles typing something. "Your class is just down the hall. The name will say Mrs.Hatch. Bye Jake."

"Thank you." I said walking down the hall. The bell rings for school to start. The hallways are flooded with other kids. All of them are bigger than me. Much bigger.

I get to my class. Mrs.Hatch greets me at the door. "Good morning!" She says.

"Good morning!" I reply entering the classroom.

There's numbers and letters, covering the walls. Along with colored pictures, names on everyone.

The names sit on the desk. I go to afternoon kindergarten, so kids have been here before me today. The name tags from the other kids are still on the tables. "Roxy Lalonde," one of the cards reads. She sounds nice.

It's recess time after an hour or so of class. I run outside. Seeing beautiful swings. I get on one, then I realize that I don't know how to push myself. I get off the swing, my head held low. A girl came crawling near me. A woman chasing behind her.

The girl grabbed my foot, I stood up quickly. Hiding behind the dogeball cort. I screamed, "That girl was gonna kill me! I want Momma! I want Momma to save me!" Tears ran down my face as I ran from the crawling girl. The woman picked up the little blonde girl. The devil child wore all pink. Her mother wearing dark blue. The woman gave me a glare. "Don't make a scene of yourself to make you feel like your king of this play ground, so you can impress your girlfriends. She just grabbed your shoe. Stop whining about it." The woman said.

"Not true! She hit my foot! She tried to kill me! I hate this school!" I shouted, drops of salty water falling to my shirt as I ran to the office.

"I want to go home Now! A girl tried killing me! I want Momma!" I shouted at the office lady.

My Momma arrived 10 minutes later. I cried on her shoulder when she picked me up.

"Do you have a minute to talk?" The principal asked. Momma nodded.

"Jake, baby, sit here for a minute. Momma will be right back." She said, putting me down on the chair. I nodded and waited for her to come back.

Momma was angry when she came out of the room. But she was happier when she saw me. She picked me up, signing something then taking me out to the car. She buckled my seat belt, then got in her seat and we drove home.

Grandma hugged us when we got home. Momma whispered something in grandma's ear. Grandma got angry. I wonder what they're mad about, but I don't ask.
