Quinn trudged along the whipping winded shore of holy island, with every step the smoky coloured pebbles crunched underfoot.

Some of these weird shaped pebbles glowed a bright white in the moon light, and every time they where near a pile of them the light was so bright , that there eyes would water from the magnificence.

Quinn strode at a steady pace now, beside her Megan was doing the same and once in a while basking in the light from the glowing stones of the beach, but Jane however was struggling to put one foot in front of the other. Janes head was so close to the ground that she was practically crawling among the rocks.

"Jane come on or we won't have much time to look around before we have to head back" mentioned Quinn.

"But then we would have walked all this way for nothing!" Jane replied absolutely terrified at the thought.

"Exactly" Quinn exclaimed knowing Jane had fallen for her plan because Jane would never do exercise unless she got something out of it and she also would never miss her sleep.

"Well we better get a wiggle on then"
Pronounced Jane .

Quinn stared to Megan they were both nearly in tears keeping there hands over there mouth. Jane glanced over her shoulder at the two standing there.

"What? Come on we need to go!"
Jane exclaimed.

After Quinn and Megans pathetic attempt at not laughing they burst , Janes face was just to much it just tipped them over the line from smirking to hysterically laughing. Jane gave the two a cold hard stare as she drew her hair away from her face. Her face in this ominous glowing full moon made her look as if she were green. But that couldn't be . So Quinn just tried to ignore it but yet a voice deep down in the back of her head ,that she could hear over her own hysterical laughter and her heart rattling in its cage , she knew as she always had .

Jane was not normal she had some sort of weird twist to her.

Quinn examined her friends face over with her eyes and knew she had to just ignore it as she always had and as she always would. There was nothing that could change Jane but there was something up with her as they had grown older together , every full moon the green light on her face got even more vivid and more noticeable it was only slight but still noticeable.

Quinn had always brought it up when it significantly changed but when she had turned nine she stopped because Jane had not been able to see the green light even though Quinn had pointed it out to her and showed her that in the moon light it was different but Jane being stubborn as always had ignored her and shouted saying that there was nothing wrong with her face at night and that it was insane of Quinn to even say that. Well after that Quinn went on noticing it got stronger and went on trying to ignore it , but her heart kept nagging at her to ask Jane to tell her the light was still there after all these years and after all this time it was brighter than ever. But of course she couldn't, it would undeniably change if not ruin their friendship . So she kept her mouth shut and added it to the thoughts that swirled around in her head every day and every night before she went to sleep and occasionally her mind would wander to her problems in her dreams it was bad enough they haunted her in the days but they had to do it in the night as well , the universe had to be cruel to her she was still happy though despite all this.

Being miserable wouldn't help anyone or anything and besides she had her friends to help her especially Leo who helped her in her most grief - stricken moments. Where had Leo got to tonight?

Just another thing that Quinn had to add to her unlimited problems. Although they where never universally acknowledged . Geese her own friends had no idea that these problems existed and that they weighed down on her like half a ton some days but others they lifted her up because she wanted to unravel the secrets close to her heart and in her mind.

While Quinn had been lost in her unfathomable thoughts , they where already halfway up from where they were before. Jane still in front her breathing chugging like a steam train as she went. Quinn had only seen Jane go this fast when she was in pe. and even then she had been forced too.

With every crunching chugging step that Jane took Quinn sniggered lightly being careful not to break Janes concentration. It was so funny to watch.

"Guys I think I've found it!!!" Jane was pointing to a weird shaped rock hanging on to the side of the beach.

Quinn stared in awe it was gigantic and the cruel wind and gushing waters couldn't even touch it. It was truly a sight to behold if Quinn had ever seen one.

It was so enormous and the white stone shone, even though the moon hung behind the clouds and refused to come out.

Quinn perched her self on a rock where Jane and Megan came and sat next to her.

"So what do we do now" asked Jane.

"We wait until the moon shows us the door " Quinn replied.

"Wait a second that doesn't make any sense the old woman told us the moon shows the way but she didn't say how or when" Megan frowned.

" so I had to walk all this way for nothing and I've missed some sleep"
Jane moaned.

" No don't you see it wasn't all for nothing .we got here didn't we, and if what half of what the woman said was true why shouldn't the rest be" Quinn announced.

She was certain that there was something here ; she could feel it.
Her hands tingled with electricity , almost as though lighting was crawling over her hands and was in her veins. The feeling was weird it didn't feel real . Maybe Quinn was just imagining it.

"Please just- she lifted out her hand to touch Janes - can we stay a little longer" Quinn pleaded.

Quinns hand made contact with Janes shoulder and the lightning bolts of electricity sprung to her fingers.

"Ow! What the hell!" shouted Jane.

"Keep it down you two " yelled Megan.

Jane started to shake , she fell to the pebbled floor , writhing around in pain . There was not an inch of her body that was not trembling with the electricity teaming through her veins.

"What's happening!" Megans face had turned white as if she were wearing Halloween make up.

"I don't know I was just feeling weird and I asked her if we could stay and I don't know I touched her and she fell to the ground".

"Jane can you hear me " Quinn distressed was shaking Jane wildly.

A voice emerged fro behind the fog in her mind ; calm down. Calm down or she will stay like this. She tried to keep calm and stay cool but she couldn't I mean her best friend was writhing around on the floor for gods sakes.
