After getting off the train they went out of the train station where their families were waiting for them. Jane quickly turned to Quinn and whispered " We have to talk about what happened. Meet at the bunker Monday after school?".

None of them said anything but they gave each other small nods before walking off to their families. Quinn flung her bag onto her shoulder and started to sleepily drag herself to her family.

"Quinn! Oh, thank god you're safe" her grandad shouted relieved to have his granddaughter was safe and back with him.

This kept happening but yet again Quinn looked around and there was no sign of her grandma.

"wheres grandma?" Quinn questioned.

"She's still at the house and she's making your favorite, lasagna!"

A warm smile spread over her face as she hugged her Grandad tighter before releasing him and getting into the car.

The next few days flew past and every day was the same, get up, eat breakfast, grab a new book, get back into bed, have dinner and then go to sleep. Over that time she tried to keep her mind off of everything that had happened on the island and what she had done, even though she tried she couldn't forget what had happened so she kept thinking about how she did it and what was happening to her. A part of her was trying to hope that it was all just a dream but deep down she knew that it wasn't and judging by the time it seemed like those creatures had been down there and the fact that they all knew her, she guessed it had been coming for a long time.

She had avoided her friends all weekend and didn't go to school on Monday because she didn't want to face everyone since she knew that if she did that would confirm that everything had really happened and that she was, in fact, a freak just like the twins had said.

So now it was Monday night and there was no prolonging talking about it any longer. Dragging herself down the stairs she left the house with a shouted goodbye to her grandparents. Just like her walk home from the bunker last time she felt like someone was watching her or following her so instead of cutting straight through the woods she walked down the brick house avenues and down a little alley as she walked she looked at everything around her trying to seem unfazed by whoever was following her. Still the hairs standing up on her arms made her alert, she was now certain someone was following her.

Wanting to get rid of the creep she directed herself to a little cafe that was nestled on the corner of two quiet, ancient streets.

Hurriedly Quinn stepped into the cafe and a small bell rang overhead and as the bell rang an old woman popped up from behind the counter. Her hair was rather wild and her choice of clothes even wilder. Quinn could already tell she was free-spirited and possessed a quirky attitude to life. Deep in her wild curly hair, which was held back with a hair clip, sat a small pair of red, half-moon spectacles with stars littering the frame.

"Oh hello there! How can I help you?" , softly uttered the woman.

But before Quinn could answer the old woman gave her a quizzical look and then her face lit up as old memories rushed to her brain"Oh gosh. Arent you Jessicas daughter?"

"Erm yes I was . I mean I am. Did you know my mam?" Now more curious than ever Quinn excitedly anticipated the woman's answer. For eventhough her mother most likely abandoned her she still loved to hear of her reckless adventures and see the amazing photos that were kept in the attic but her grandparents didn't like to talk about them and the only time they ever talked about them was when Quinn asked to do something or go out somewhere with her friends and her grandad would say that he didn't want the same thing happening to her that happened to her parents.
