It was bad enough her family was gone and now, because of her, her best friend was rolling around in pain.
How could she of done this? She had always known she was different to the others but she didn't know how . Whenever she told someone about it they would shrug her off, whoever they were.
Acidently she had made her friend be in a state of unimaginable pain. Now how was that normal!
Already Jane was starting to become still , but the wind still rocked her side to side in its safe arms keeping her from harm. The wind had always looked after jane it was weird whenever it was around her.
It was like a guardian angel or a spirit looking after her, but of course Jane would never believe that. Jane had never been one for mysterious things and cospiracy theories , she had always been interested in cold hard facts. Quinn had always wondered why Janes parents hadn't let her listen to fairy tales or read fantasy books, they said that they were a load of rubbish and were only used to bring attention to certain things to make money.
They were wrong of course.
Frustrated , frightened and confused quinn looked up to the sky where all was black except for the glowing orb that hung above the sea. What was she too do and where had that voice come from.
There was something strange about this place like there was something looking after them wherever they went on this island.
Quinn couldn't think of anything else to do ,even though her idea was stupid, she ran about 10 metres away to the now gushing waters edged and gently scooped diamond shining water Into her hands.
Cautiously running back to Jane , she tried not to let water spill from her hands , but still it tossed and turned trying to get back to the sea.
Quinn knew there wouldn't be any left if she kept running so she flung her hands up the water went leaping through the air and sprayed allover Janes pained expression .
The icy baltic water splashed over Janes face like 100 mini daggers piercing her skin . She sat up firing out random words .
Jane stared at Quinn obviously scared it would happen again , she looked like she wanted to step back from Quinn but she was frozen solid in place.
"Do you have any idea what just happened " aimed Megan at the other two. She was left out of the questioning stare the other two had shared between them , both knowing as little as the other they just kept staring ignoring the ominous orb of light in the sky and the northen winds that seemed to have now died down.
All the memories that where made this night would never change, the unbelievable events had only just started along with the night. They still had so much time ; you could say they had all the time it the world.
Jane got up and brushed of all the muck she had gotten on herself. She looked at them with a hopeful look making them know all she wanted to do was forget what had happened.
The all sat on a small rock looking at the white stone that was supposed to be there doorway to understanding.
The rays of the moon began to come out from behind the clouds and shine down on them like a spotlight from heaven. It was like a ginormous light house guiding them to where they needed to be .
It spun it's bright spot light onto the rock and gold etched writing , that had not been there before , surrounded the top area of a door.
This was it this is what they had been looking for. Why did it feel like home , it felt the same as the inn had done like she was meant to be here. Except now there was a strong surge of lightning in her veins and she felt pulled towards the door . She stumbled forward her warm hands in the cold air hitting the stone stopping her from falling on to the pebbles . Lightning once again crawled over her veins and emotions of anger ,happiness and belongingness came to her mind . She knew this place she had seen it before. But where? How could she have seen it when she had never been here before?
Why did she feel like this? She felt like a monster like she was not human but part of the fabric of the earth.
The Language etched in gold around the outside of the door looked like it was in english and so it was but in between the sentences were some type of symbol.
The thing was that Quinn had a feeling she had seen these before the lines that had been carved into her mind as a kid they were out of her medieval fantasy book.
Of course she had she had read a page of that book every night for three years. It was her childhood and her reality. There was something about these though they were different, they looked like she had written them but obviously not because this stone was hundreds of years old. It was probably just a coincidence anyway.
"come on guys this is a mystery and a half " Quinn smiled.
The other two walked up next to Quinn gingerly. They stalked closer being cautious with each step.
" What's the matter with you two. Come on" Quinn shouted again.
They closed the gap within five short steps standing right next to Quinn mesmerised by the golden glaced letters.
"This is amazing" blurted out Jane.
The look on their faces was worth at least a thousand pounds each ; they were speechless.
But how did they get in?
It was air shut and probably wouldn't let even a drop of water through its guarding walls.
Up, up and up it went but no cracks could be seen, it was like the old woman had said a wall of rock and it was impenetrable.
But she had also said that there would be 5 indents in a panel.
So they set about looking for this mysterious panel.
Quinns hand extended up and down over the rock yet there was no panel to be found.
The silence between the three of them was unbearable as they all gazed onto the rock.
Wind picking up again forced hair into her mouth . It blinded her and narled round her face like vines, so this was amazing wasn't it even her own hair had turned against her.
The more the wind picked up , the more hair blew in her face and the more she desperately tryed to pull her hair away .
When she finally did get it to move after a few minutes of fighting it, the sky was no longer black with millions of far of stars shining. Water had washed back out of the shore , now it was day.
