Never alone

Chapter 14~ I know everything there is to know about you

Leading the way , flint held the dancing, flamed torch up high over his tiny little figure.

After flint and the other creatures had realised that Quinn could see Janes green light , they whisked all three of the girls of to some sort of leader as they called him , but from what they had been saying on the way there it seemed like they were all just about equal here.

Quinn felt sorry for the elf , who lay on the cold ground out like a light, all she did was talk to him for one second and boom goes the cannon he was down and out for the count.

Focusing on the interior of the cave , the walls were littered with tallys in white chalk. How long had these guys been here? And how long had they been waiting for?

There was no place left un marked . They must have been waiting here for so long . As the girls passed all of the magical folk stopped what they where doing and stared in complete admiration. Quinn thought this was probably one of the only days she had walked down a corridor and not been shouted by Jack and Jay. God what a nightmare those two where, Jay had once tried to be Quinn's friend but it turned out it had all been a set up to get secrets from her so that his brother could torment her. They started bullying her 3 years ago , and they had been doing the same ever since.

They'd stopped . Why had they stopped?

This was Quinns moment these people , they could be the key to finding her parents and finding out what they where going to tell her all these years.

Dust kicked up under foot as they took one more step into the back cave , everything was so eerily silent that the slightest breath from the depths of someone's lips would have alerted everyone.

It seemed the breath was caught in their throat steadily slowing down their heart rates.

Boom......Boom...........Boom........................Boom ......................................Boom.

They all knew that something was coming but whatever it was they had no idea. Well the girls where left in the dark afterall every single creature new what was about to happen.

Where they crazy to go into this cave full of weird creatures and not run away maybe so , but they couldn't back down now because the crowd was filling in behind them and there was no escape.

"Guys is this stupid? Are we stupid for doing this?" Quinn whispered to the others.

"Yeah probably but we are all together what's the worst that could possibly happen" Jane replied with her voice low as to not be heard by unwanted ears.

A punch of happiness hit quinn in the face as she turned the corner and there perched on a humongous boulder was as and even bigger dragon.

It's talon like claws where pointy and could tear a person's flesh to shreds in a matter of seconds. They were mesmerising and they where the same length as Quinns entire body, you wouldn't want to be on its bad list. Hard scales lined it's back it was like a mountain going on forever and you can never see over it. Wow the wings on this thing where like sails on a pirate boat but way way bigger. Wow . Just wow. How was this possible? Quinn wished and wished for people and creatures like these to exist when she was younger but never in her whole life did she imagine that she would come face to face with a dragon.

This was incredible but so overwhelming at the same time how could something this big stay hidden for so long?

A low and loud voice erupted from the dragons throat " I'm guessing that you don't know why you're here"

Janes knees where knocking together and making a bone curdling noise , jane was bad enough when she saw the dragon but seeing it speak well that just tipped her over the edge a little bit

The dragons voice was as old as time and it was like no power on earth could stop it ....... But nothing was invincible.....nothing.

All Quinn could think about was her parents they had to leave her so soon they would never see anything like this even though this would have been the discovery of there life. It didn't matter though because they where gone and somehow Quinn knew she would never see them again.

"Why do you stay silent kiddo? You don't have to be afraid of me"

Quinn kept her lips sealed.

"Ah I see your loss blinds you of what is in front of you" continued the dragon.

"Hey! You have no idea what you're talking about so keep your scaly ass out of it! " Quinn clapped her hands over her mouth , but it was too late she had just insulted one of the most powerful creatures she had ever seen.

Jane face palmed hard because of Quinns stupidity , which left a red mark on her head . Why oh why , sometimes she thought she was out of her flipping mind and other moments it felt right at the time but not so much afterwards.

From Quinns experience there was only four ways that people responded to things like this ; they would get upset and walk away ( that didn't happen very often and you could definitely cross it off happening this time), they could just ignore you , make a comment back and the one that Quinn most frequently received a weak punch in the face which people instantly regretted after. Quinn didn't care if people punched her just as long as they didn't do it to other people.

Out of know where the dragon just started hysterically laughing , it was so loud the creatures in the cave blocked there ears forcefully and they just looked onto the dragon with curious eyes as if this was the weirdest encounter they had ever witnessed.

"Oh you silly warlock , I know every thing there is to know about you . I know even more about you than you do!" wow this dragon was still laughing it wasn't that funny for heavens sake.

Taken back by his words Quinn was filled with rage . How dare he speak to her like that , he knew nothing absolutely nothing about her.

That feeling was coursing through her veins electrifying her whole body. What was happening to her .

The feeling was happening again ; this time she knew somebody would get hurt.
