Chapter 10

Sasuke's POV
"GOODNIGHT BOYS!" I heard Natalie shout from the other side of the wall that divided the hot spring. "GOODNIGHT NATALIE!" Naruto shouted back. I rolled my eyes and got out of the water. "Sasuke where are you going?" I heard Kakashi ask. "To go change and to get to bed." I said continuing to walk inside. I walked inside and changed into my clothes and started to walk to my room and dry my hair. "Oof." I heard a voice let out. "Oh sorry Natalie. I must've not been paying attention." I said noticing her on the floor. I held out my hand and helped her from the ground. "It's fine Sasuke. Goodnight." She said walking past me. I turned around and watched her walk down the hall, her white hair swaying behind her. "You know Sasuke it's rude to stare." She said turning around. I felt my cheeks heat up and she smiled. "Night." I muttered rushing to my own room.

Natalie's POV
I watched Sasuke run into his room and I let a laugh escape my lips. "Hey Natalie can I ask you a question?" Naruto asked stepping in front of me. "Of course." I replied leaning against the wall. "How do you tell a girl how you really feel? I asked Sakura earlier but she just hit me and walked away." I smiled and thought for a moment. "Well ask her to lunch or to just be together alone and tell her how you really feel. If she's busy just try and make plans with her for a later time. That gives you more time to work up the courage to tell her." I explained. "How did Shikamaru tell you how he felt?" I froze at his words and felt tears brim my eyes. "It's getting late, we should get to bed. I'll tell you later." I said walking into my bedroom and closing the door quickly while locking it.

*FLASH BACK*
I was sitting on my bed writing down some notes that I could remember from class. My mother slammed my door open and wobbled over to me. She yanked my hair and threw me to the ground. "Useless piece of garbage. You were supposed to do all the chores and make dinner." She said looking down at me. I felt tears slip down my face. I was only thirteen and treated like a slave. "I was doing school work." I said wiping tears away. "Whatever get it all done by tomorrow or you're out of here." She said before walking out and slamming my door. I pulled my knees to my chest and hid my face. I heard my window slide open and my head shot up. Shikamaru was standing in front of me with a rose in his hand. I wiped my tears away hurriedly, but Shikamaru's hand stopped me. I looked up at him and he sat down in front of me. "I'm sorry." He said looking at me. I felt his arms wrap around me and I smiled. "Thank you Shikamaru." I said. "Natalie you know that I think women are troublesome, but that's not how I feel about you. I really like you and I came to tell you, but I saw what just happened and I want you to know that I care about you." He said staring at his hands. I smiled at him and grabbed his chin and made him look at me. I kissed him and he kissed back. "Thank you Shikamaru."
*END OF FLASHBACK*

I slipped underneath my blankets and tried to fall asleep. I remember all the nights that Niobi would have to sleep with me whenever our parents yelled or hurt me. "Natalie." I heard a voice say. I looked around to find Kakashi sitting on the end of my bed. "Promise me something." He said looking at me. "Promise me you won't leave." He said. He lifted his headband and his Sharingan glowing red in the darkness. "I promise. You have to promise me you'll never abandon me." I said. He nodded and stood up. "You should go for a walk if you can't sleep. It's nice out and it should clear you mind." He said disappearing in a puff of smoke. I looked out the window noticing the full moon shining in the sky. I climbed through the window and landed on the ground with a thud. I noticed a pack of wolves stalking towards the stables. "Spirit." I muttered. I started to run as fast as I could to the stables. I bit my thumb and pressed a hand to the ground. "Summoning jutsu." I said. I continued to run and Niobi was running along with me. "These aren't regular wolves. They were summoned by someone, but they are weak and easily distracted." Niobi informed me and I ran into the stables. "Brougtoken!" I shouted. I heard the wolves whimper and they ran away howling on the way. I walked over to Spirit who was neighing loudly and bucking like crazy. "Hey. Hey." I said in a calm tone. "Natalie be careful." Niobi said. He was still bucking and neighing and I looked at Niobi. "Niobi I'll be fine, he's scared of you. Go home I'll see you in a few days." I said. Niobi ran off into the woods and I turned back to Spirit. "Hey Spirit." I whispered slipping through the gate. I held his head in my hands and stroked his snout and whispered calming words. "Don't worry I'll get you out of here someday." I said smiling at him. He nuzzled my neck and I heard someone clear their throat behind me. "Well if it isn't Kakashi's precious daughter." I heard the voice say. "Not you three again." I groaned turning around to see the three men that me and Kakashi saved a women from. "You're coming with us." He said. I let out a laugh and walked over to them. I punched them all in the face and dragged them out of the stables by their collars. I held my wrist in my other hand and smirked at them. "Brougtoken Chidori!" I shouted. Purple lightning appeared in my hand and I looked at them with a smirk on my face. They screamed like little girls and ran off into the woods. "Idiots for trying to mess with me." I muttered walking back towards the house where we were staying. 

*TIME SKIP*

I finished feeding the cattle and making sure they had plenty of water when I heard yelling come from where Kakashi was reading. "What the hell?" I asked myself as I walked over to Kakashi. Sakura, Sasuke, and Naruto were all in the outfits from the guys that tried to mess with me last night. I raised an eyebrow at them and I could see Sasuke and Naruto blush as I started to laugh. "You guys are ridiculous." I said wiping away a fake tear from laughing. "Hey boss those kids are wearing our clothes!" I heard a familiar voice say. I smirked and stepped next to them. "You boys ready for round two?" I asked grabbing my wrist. "Bring it." One of them said. "You wanna take this one Natalie?" Kakashi asked. I nodded and walked over to them. "Chidori!" I shouted holding my wrist. I ran at them and hit them all with it. They were sent flying backwards and I smirked. I grabbed a lasso that I was using to herd the cattle earlier and tied it around the men. "Natalie that was amazing!" Naruto shouted getting out of the ropes they were in. Sakura and him ran over to me and I let out a light laugh. "Thanks Naruto it wasn't the first time I've had to deal with those three." I said pointing a thumb at the three tied up. "Well I believe that we completed our mission. You guys can go ahead and pack up." Kakashi said walking away from us. I nodded and started to head towards the stables. "Natalie what about packing?" Sakura asked. "Already did it, just gonna take care of one last thing." I said running towards the stables. Once I got there I immediately walked over to Spirit's pen. I opened the gate and lead him out. "You're free now." I said leading him out of the stables and to the woods. I took out a necklace with a feather at the end and placed it around his neck. "If we ever meet again, I'll know it's you." I whispered. Spirit nuzzled me one last time before bolting into the woods. I smiled as the stallion left my line of sight and I turned around to go back to the house. Everyone was already outside and the older ladies were waving them off on their porch. "Here ya go." Naruto said handing me my bag. I took it from him and waved a good-bye to the ladies.
