Chapter 13

Natalie's POV
I woke up and got ready, but something in my head ran through my head. "Teleport." I whispered. I was running next to all of the team. "Natalie what are you doing?" Naruto asked as he continued to run with the runner on his back. "I came to get an update, what do I need to do?" I asked. "Distract the other runner or something." Sakura said. I nodded and teleported to an area with some little rooms around for the runners to rest. I noticed a man with green hair and I read his mind. He is the ninja helping the other runner. I put myself into an age jutsu. I walked past him and I could feel his gaze on me. "You know it's rude to stare." I said turning around and smiling at him lightly. "Oh I'm so sorry it's just you are really pretty." He said. "Why thank you. You are quite handsome now that I got a good look at you." I said walking towards him. I could see his cheeks become red and I rolled my eyes. Naruto and the others so own me one. "Would you like to sit down and talk?" He asked smiling at me. "Of course." I replied as he lead me to a bench on the side of one of the runner rest stop rooms. "So what brings you here?" He asked. "Just came to watch, I'm not into all that rivalry and such, but I do like a good competition." I explained playing along. "That's cool, I'm helping the racer in this room." He said pointing behind him. "Really, that's kinda attractive." I said scooting closer to him. "R-really?" He stuttered. I nodded and put my hand on his shoulder and traced circles into his skin. "Damn I have to go." He said hurriedly. "Can't you stay just a little longer?" I asked with a fake pout. "Wish I could, but duty calls." He said. He kissed my cheek before entering the room. I wiped off my cheek and walked away from the room. I really hope that'll be enough time for the others to catch up. I kept my age jutsu just in case I ran into him again. I teleported to the finish line and many people stared at me once more. I sighed and just leaned against a building trying to see if the others would be close enough to where I would be able to read their minds, but I couldn't sense any of their chakras. Something didn't feel right and I don't think it was just that gross kiss from that guy. I teleported to a bridge and the guy from earlier was fighting Sasuke, Naruto and Sakura. I ran to their side and stood tall. "So you're with these brats." He scoffed. "Got that right, stupid for trusting an enemy ninja." I said. My head started to burn and I let out a scream. "Hm teaches her right." I looked and noticed he had the Blade of the Thunder Spirit. He shot me with it and I could see Sasuke and Naruto glare at him. "Bastard!" Sasuke screamed trying to fight him off. I zoned out and scolded myself for how weak I must look. "No!" Sakura screamed. She jumped after Sasuke as he fell off the ledge. I could feel the curse mark spread across my body and I grew into a giant. I jumped after Sasuke and Sakura and landed on a ledge. I caught them in my giant hand and set them on the ledge I was standing on. I shrunk back to my original size and collapsed to my knees next to Sasuke. "Is he gonna be okay?" I asked looking at him a panting lightly. "I'm not sure, I don't know about the power of that blade." She explained. I leaned against the wall and Sakura looked at me with concern. "I'll be okay, make sure he doesn't die on us." I said trying to catch my breath. "Natalie it looks like that takes a lot out of you." She said scooting over to me. "Sakura I'm sorry if I scared you. I never wanted to say that in my life." I said glancing at Sasuke. "It's okay Sasuke explained it to me and Naruto. I want to say sorry for saying what I did about Gaara." She said looking at Sasuke. I grabbed Sakura and Sasuke and pressed all of against the back of the ledge as I heard screaming. I saw our attacker plummet to his death and I sighed in relief. "Are you guys okay down there?!" Naruto asked. "Yeah Sasuke is unconscious and Natalie's a little exhausted." Sakura explained. "Naruto jump down here I'll teleport us to our racer." I said. "Natalie you should be resting." Sakura said. "I'll be fine." I said. Naruto jumped into my arms and I let out a laugh. I grabbed onto everyone and slung Sasuke onto my back. "Teleport!" I shouted. We appeared next to the runner and I started running with them. "We're almost there." The racer said. We stopped at the beginning of the pathway that lead straight to the finish line. Sasuke came to it and I set him on his feet. "You okay?" I asked cracking my knuckles. "Yeah how did we get here?" He asked. "I teleported us to the racer and I carried you the rest of the way." I said feeling dizzy. I fell into Sasuke and he caught me. Black spots started to take over my vision and I let myself slip.

*TIME SKIP*

I woke up in a hospital bed again and Kakashi and Niobi were in chairs sleeping. My wolf Niobi was sleeping on a couch on the other side of the room. I looked around and realized it was already night. "I see you're finally awake." Lady Tsunade whispered. "They have been asked for updates every hour. I think they deserve some rest." She said with a light smile. I frowned at looked down at my hands. "I'm always making them worry and I'm so weak." I muttered rubbing my curse mark. "You don't realize how powerful the blade was and how much chakra you used teleporting your whole team and carrying Sasuke the rest of the way. Naruto and Sakura filled me in on the details of what happened. I'm sure they will all be glad to see you're awake." She said sitting on the end of the hospital bed. "You saved Sakura and Sasuke's life by catching them. I don't know if Sakura could've used her chakra to climb the wall of the cliff to slow her down in time with Sasuke in her arms." She explained. "You should get back to sleep. I'm glad to see how many people care about you." She whispered walking out of the room. I looked at Kakashi, Niobi, and my wolf. I can't see how she saw that all in just me. I showed one sign of weakness and it changed my whole mind. I laid back down and I stared at the ceiling. Why am I thinking about being weak?
