Chapter 16

Natalie's POV
"Gaara..." I murmured. I looked at the familiar red head that stood in front of Lee. "Natalie get out of the way!" He shouted. Sand snaked towards me and held me in a protective case and it fell around me as I was next to them. "Lee you idiot why would you come here." I said grabbing his shoulders. "Why would you go with them Natalie? We'll all be here for you." He said. "I'm sorry it was a spur of the moment thing." I said. A giant spear of bone came after us, but Gaara put up a protective defense. I read Sasuke's mind and him and Naruto were fighting. I grabbed my head and Lee looked at me horrified. I looked down at my skin to see pale purple replacing my pale skin. I felt horns sprout from my forehead and fangs protrude from my mouth. "Natalie! Natalie!" I heard. I looked over at Niobi who was running towards me, but stopped. I looked down at his stomach and I felt tears well up in my eyes noticed bone piercing through his skin. I ran to him ignoring Gaara calling my name. I looked at the blood staining his shirt and I felt tears slip down my face I placed my hands on his stomach and tried to summon healing ninjutsu, but it wasn't working. "Natalie please stop." He groaned coughing up blood. "Niobi I can heal you." I sobbed putting pressure on the wound. "Natalie I'm not going to make it, you have to promise me you'll be brave. Can you do that for me?" He asked. "P-please don't leave me Niobi." I begged the tears falling harder. "Natalie promise." He demanded weakly. "I promise." I sputtered trying to heal him. His breaths were getting slower and I looked at his eyes as they rolled into the back of his head. "P-please don't leave me." I whispered. I looked back at Kimimaro who looked slightly like me. I ran at him and summoned as much chakra as possible. "BROUGTOKEN CHIDORI!!" I screamed tackling him with it. "You killed my brother. I'll make you suffer." I threatened. I did some hand signs and pressed my hand against his forehead. "Junakin clan memory torture." I growled. He screamed out in agony and I got off of him. I listened to his screams and finally took out a kunai. "I give you my mercy you bastard." I said stabbing his forehead with the kunai and wiping splattered blood off my face. I ran away from Lee and Gaara and followed Naruto's chakra trail. I looked at Naruto who was collapsed on the ground. I ran to him and made sure he was okay. "Are you okay Sasuke?" I asked. Using water to clean off the blood from my face. "I'm fine... are you okay?" He asked.

Sasuke's POV
"I'm fine...are you okay?" I asked noticing her eyes red and puffy. "Niobi was killed by Kimimaro and I made him suffer." She said lifting Naruto into her arms. "Natalie what are you doing?" I asked. "I don't want him catching a cold or dying from hypothermia." She explained setting him on the ground and bringing out a blanket from her bag and placed it over him. She grabbed another blanket and handed it to me. I started to walk away, but she didn't follow me. "Come on Natalie." I said looking back at her. She had a distant look in her eyes and she blinked at me. "I can't join the man who raised the person who killed the last of my family. Maybe our paths will cross again Sasuke, but I think it's time that we go to our futures." She said looking at me before bringing me into her arms. I hugged her back, but tripped forward as she teleported away. I looked around and started running to wherever my body took me. 

Natalie's POV
I teleported away from Sasuke and leaned against a tree and cried. I cried for a while before teleporting to Niobi's body. Lee had Naruto in his arms and looked at me sadly. I picked up Niobi and teleported away. I dug a graved and buried him. A orchid sprouted from above him and I carved a headstone for him.

Here lies Niobi Junakin, a beloved brother who cared about the ones he loved the most. He will be missed greatly. "You have to promise the ones you love and yourself that you'll be brave." 

I let one last tear slip from my face before I heard someone clear their throat from behind me. "I see what happened." I heard Itachi's voice ring through my ears. I turned around and hugged him tightly. "I'm sorry for what happened to your brother." He said apologetically. I nodded and wiped away tears. "C'mon I'll get you settled at the base." He said. I nodded, but fell over into a tree. "Natalie?" Itachi said questioningly. "I'm just tired." I muttered. He picked me up into his arms and started running. 

*FLASHBACK*
I walked along side Niobi as we were getting food to make for Kakashi. "You know you have grown a lot since the last time I saw you." He said sadly. He nudged me with his arm and I smiled at him. 

"You ungrateful brat!" I heard my father scream. "I'm leaving and that's final. I'm taking Natalie with me away from you abusive people." Niobi screamed at my father. "You aren't taking her anywhere, you would just tell them what happened." He said. Niobi tried to push past my father, but he was shoved back. "Niobi!" I shouted tears streaming down my cheeks. "Natalie go to your room. I'll be fine." He said glaring daggers at my father. I nodded and ran into my room, but heard the shouts, curses, and crashes downstairs. I ran back downstairs and noticed Niobi on the ground with a kunai lodged in his arm. "I'll be back for Natalie and I'll kill you and protect her unlike you people do." He said angrily running out of the house.
*END OF FLASHBACK*

I snapped back into it as I was laid down on a couch. I man with orange hair and blades piecing his skin everywhere I could see. "You must be Natalie Junakin." He said in a low voice. I nodded and sat up as Itachi entered the room. "I know who you are Nagato." I whispered so only he could hear it. He froze and took a step back. Itachi looked stunned and smirked. "I'll see you in my office tomorrow morning. Itachi can get you settled and introduce you to everyone." He said. He turned and strode down a corridor and Itachi approached me. "No one can scare Pain, I wonder what startled him about you." Itachi said giving me a smile. "I'll go gather everyone, some of them aren't terrible." He said before walking away. I reached into my bag and ate a food pill to get my energy up. "Here is everyone." He said. "You guys are extremely easy to read. Kisame is a shark with the sword Samehada. Deidara the explosive clay artist, Sasori the puppeteer artist for eternal art, Kakuzu an immortal money maniac, Hidan the Jashinist, Zetsu and double sided plant boy, Tobi an energetic idiot, and Konan a talented origami creator." I listed. Itachi smirked at me again and let out a slight chuckle. "How does she know all of this?" Sasori asked looking at me. I activated my Brougtoken and stared at them. They all back away slightly except Hidan. "Don't get cocky Hidan." I muttered. "This bitch is a weak child why are you scared of her." I did a few hand signs and smirked. "Junakin memory transfer." I whispered. Hidan stayed silent for a while and looked at me. "You've been through a lot kid. Pretty damn tough at that." He said sympathetically. "What's happened has happened only I can try to strengthen from it." I said. I showed them all what I had been through and they stayed silent. "Welcome to the Akatsuki." Kisame said quietly.
