Chapter 27

Natalie's POV
I sighed and looked over at the calendar. It was now Valentines Day and I had to wait another whole week until Sasuke returns like he said he would. "Ugh why must it be the day of love, when my love is probably miles away from me." I recited from a old sappy novel. "Man you're really upset aren't you." I heard Kakashi's voice say from my doorway. "I mean it could be better, but I'm not that sad." I told him sitting up from my bed and stretching out. "Here Happy Valentines Day little wolf." He said resorting to my old nickname. "You haven't called me that in a while." I said as he held a bouquet of black roses and a small wolf plush. I smiled at the gifts and got up and hugged him. "Thank you Kakashi." I told him kissing his cheek. He let out a soft chuckle and ruffled my hair slightly. "Okay out, I have to get dressed." I told him shoving him out of the room and closing the door behind him. I changed into my anbu outfit and slipped my blue Uchiha jonin vest on over it. "C'mon Naruto wanted to meet us for lunch." Kakashi told me. I nodded and we walked into Ichiraku and Naruto was waiting there with a bouquet of orange roses. He handed them to me and pulled me into a side hug. "Happy Valentines Day Natalie." He said happily. I took the roses and smiled warmly at him. "Thank you Naruto, and I guess I'm paying for lunch." I laughed. "No actually I am." I heard a familiar voice say. Lee appeared in the booth and had a bouquet of green roses for me. "I feel like I'm going to have quite the collection of roses today." I said taking them as he handed them to me. Lee only gave me a smile and we all ordered some food. "Natalie I think that Hinata and Kiba needed some help down at Hana's vet office and they asked me to tell you in case you wanted to help." Kakashi told me. "Of course I have nothing else planned today." I said taking a bite of the ramen that was set in front of me. "Natalie when is Sasuke supposed to come back again?" Naruto asked. "Just another week and he should be home." I told him finishing off my food and standing up. "Thank you Lee for the meal, but Kiba and Hinata need my help. I'll see you guys later." I told them before walking out of the restaurant. I ran over to Hana's and noticed Kiba and Hinata were holding something behind them as I approached. "Happy Valentines Day Natalie." They said in unison. Kiba pulled out a bouquet of red roses while Hinata pulled a purple bouquet. "Thank you, this is my fourth and fifth bouquet today." I said summoning Akari who was the size of a regular wolf. I slid the bouquets into a pack that was strapped to her and pet her head gently. "Take these back to the apartment please." I asked her. "Of course." She replied running off. "I still can't believe that you're a jinchuuriki." Kiba said patting my shoulder. "Well believe it, so what did you need help with?" I asked. "Hana saw this wild stallion in the forest and she couldn't get a hold of him. We can't either, but you're really good with animals so we thought that you could help us." He said rubbing the back of his neck. "I think I might know which stallion you're talking about." I told him smiling as I remembered Spirit. "I'll bring him back to the vet safe and sound." I told them as I walked towards the forest. I walked around for a while before I noticed the familiar stallion that stood in front of me. "Hey Spirit." I said walking up the horse. He walked over to me and nuzzled me softly. I pet his neck and led him into the field and to where Kiba and Hinata were waiting. I placed a hand on the top of his head and used my ability to control emotions to calm him down. "Hand me the lead." I told Kiba. He tossed me the rope and I lead Spirit with it to Hana. "There he is. So beautiful aren't you." She said admiring him. "I released him when I was younger on one of my earlier missions. Now Spirit she isn't gonna hurt you, just making sure that you're okay and she'll let you go okay." I told him. He neighed as if to complain, but nuzzled me in agreement anyway. "Perfect, now if you'll excuse me I wanted to go visit Ino." I said before teleporting into the Yamanaka flower shop. "Natalie so good to see you me and Sai have gifts for you." She said handing me a bouquet of yellow roses while Sai's bouquet were white. "Gosh I feel quite loved today, I think I have seven bouquets now." I laughed. Ino only smiled cheekily and Sai pulled me aside. "Natalie when do you think it'll be done?" He asked. "I'm trying my hardest with the serum, but I think you are just fine with how you are now. Someone has woken those emotions in you. I know you know. I don't want to give it if I don't need to and from what I can see you don't." I told him. He only nodded and gave me a small smile. "Thank you for believing in me Natalie." He told me. "Of course, but it's getting late and I should get home before it gets to dark. I'll see you later Sai." I told him. He waved me off and I walked home alone. I set down the two bouquets next to the others and placed them all in their own vases or each color and put them in rainbow order. I noticed a space between green and purple and thought about getting some blue roses tomorrow just to complete the perfect decoration now. I walked into my room and changed into some pajamas and walked back out into my dining room where the roses were and noticed that a vase full of blue flowers had replaced the empty spot that had once been there. "Happy Valentines Day Natalie." I heard a voice say behind me. I turned around quickly and ran into Sasuke's arms. "I missed you so much." I whispered into his shoulder. He wrapped his arm around me and I kissed him passionately. "I missed you more. Now let me keep my promise to you when I gave you that vest." He said. He got down on one knee and grabbed my hand. "Natalie after everything I've been through you've been the one to make sure that I was okay and you made me feel emotions when no one else could. Would you do me the honors of marry- Oof." He grunted as I leapt into his arm and wrapped mine around him. "Yes a hundred million times yes!" I replied.

What a beautiful ending to a beautiful book. Thank you everyone for reading and supporting this project and for all the love. This has been one of my favorite books to write. I also have others but to each their own types of books. I've been thinking of writing a sequel to this but I thought I should ask if you guys would want something like that.
