Chapter 18

Natalie's POV
I woke up and got dressed into Kakashi's old Anbu outfit. It fit nicely and I slipped the gloves over my hands and smiled as I left marks when I clawed against the stone wall. I walked into the kitchen area and made some food and ate quickly before the others went in to eat. "Natalie, Pain wants to meet you in a forest, I'll lead you to him later today." Konan said as I was about to head to my old home. I nodded and walked back into my room and sharpened my weapons and put them in the bag. "Guess you're going on a solo mission." Zetsu asked in a deep voice. "More like some unfinished business, going to stop by my brothers grave after I'm done." I explained grabbing the mask and putting it over my face. "See ya later plant boy." I mocked teleporting away. "He's gonna give me hell tonight." I laughed seeing that he hated the nickname I had given him. I walked not having to worry about anything until I heard barking and familiar voices. "Niobi I thought you smelled her scent." I heard Kiba say. "Mutt's useless." Shino muttered. "Shut it bug boy." Kiba spat. "Guys calm down." A quiet Hinata said. I was shocked to see team eight looking for me so far from the village. I dropped down to the ground as a taller person and removed my mask. "Why are you kids here?" I asked in a voice that was not my own. "We're on a mission to find a person from hidden in the leaves. Her name is Natalie Junakin. She has white hair, blue eyes, and purple if she activates her Brougtoken. That shouldn't help much, she can change her appearance." He told me. "Kid don't look for her anymore, we found her dead body this morning. She was taken by some snake man." I lied looking down at him. They all froze and I could hear sobs. I knelt down to Hinata's level to see tears running down her face. "Look kids, I was the first there and she left a note saying that she loved all of her friends. Who's Hinata?" I already knew, but she looked up at me. "She wants you to be strong. Crying over her death isn't going to help your village. Sasuke Uchiha is missing and you need to go find him. Now I suggest you hurry." I said feeling tears prick my eyes. They all nodded and Hinata wiped her tears away. They all ran in the other direction, but Niobi stayed. "Leave me be Niobi. They can't know that I'm alive, I'm nothing but a traitor." I muttered. He growled at me and I growled back and he whimpered. "I can't control what's happening to me, please just go." I begged. "They are already heart broken, Naruto hasn't left his house in two days since he's been back." He said turning away from me. "I'm checking up on him today, but I need to do it myself." I teleported into the village and ignored the looks I got. I walked into Naruto's house and noticed the mess. I could tell he wasn't here so I started to clean up. "He should really learn some responsibility." I muttered finishing up his house. I took my headband off of my arm and placed it on his table along with a note. "I'll see you later Naruto Uzumaki." 

Naruto's POV
I walked into my house and was startled about how clean it was. I put away the food I had gotten and looked at the headband that was on my table. I picked up the note and started to read it. 

Dear Naruto,
It was so hard to leave, but I just couldn't take it. I didn't come back because I didn't want to hurt anyone anymore. I'm a danger to you since Orochimaru bit me and I won't be coming back. Maybe I'll see you again, until then be safe and try to keep your house clean. If I don't come back make sure to take care of my headband.

Love Natalie Junakin

I felt tears well in my eyes and I crumpled the paper in my fist. I picked up her headband and put it in my weapon bag. Kiba stormed into my house with a sad expression and I raised an eyebrow at him. "Naruto they found Natalie's body and supposedly Orochimaru picked up her corpse." He said panting. "I've been gone since last night and she left this note." I said handing him the note. "Natalie was one of our best friends. Why does she think she'll hurt us." He said. I shrugged, but felt hope rise in my chest. "We can't take this as a bad thing, she might not be dead, she might come back. In the meantime I'm gonna train and become stronger so I can make sure that Natalie is safe if she's alive." I said, my determination was radiating off of me and I ran out of my house with a smile on my face.

Sakura's POV
I let tears run down my face as I heard Natalie was dead. She was one of my best friends and she was gone. I ran into my parents arms as they saw me crying. "What's wrong Sakura?" My mother asked. "Natalie is dead." I sobbed. I could feel them tense up and my father rubbed my back in comfort.

Sasuke's POV
"Sasuke there has been news that Natalie's dead body was found this morning." Orochimaru said as I was lounged out across a couch. I tensed up and looked at him, hoping it was some joke. "It's news that's spreading like a wild fire...too bad she would have made a good vessel for Karin." He said. I felt rage fill my body and tears running down my face. "Not another person I love." I muttered.

Natalie's POV
I followed Konan and slipped through a paper tree and was startled by the sickly man with red hair in front of me. Pain was in front of him and I looked at him. "You made Yahiko one of your vessels?" I asked remembering reading that from his mind. "Yes, it's one way I can make sure his legacy lives on." He said in a gravely voice. I nodded and looked around to see nothing, but him and his spears sticking out. "I guess it's time to start training again." I smirked looking down at my hands.
