Chapter 15

Natalie's POV
I set a plate in front of Kakashi and we started to eat. "Lady Tsunade wanted me to go to hidden in the sand to discuss being allies." I said. He froze mid-chew and swallowed his food. "You'll have to tell her you can't go." He said calmly. I looked at him and put down my chopsticks. "I'm going." I said. "No you're not. You'll be much safer here." He said his voice slightly raising. "I don't need to be protected!" I shouted. "I don't know why I care you're not even my daughter!" He shouted back. I froze at his words and a tear slipped down my face. I turned and ran out the door as fast as I could hiding my chakra. I found myself on the hill with the sakura tree. Orochimaru was standing there looking a little concerned noticing the tears falling down my face. "I want to become one of you." I sobbed. He brought me into his arms and stroked my hair softly. "Kakashi must've done something terrible." He guessed. "He said I wasn't even his daughter." I replied wiping the tears from my eyes. "Four of my men will be picking Sasuke up in a little. I want you to go with them." He said. I nodded and hugged him one last time. "I don't understand how people see you as a bad person." I said. He nodded and disappeared in a puff of smoke. I started to walk back to where my stuff was. I heard voices talking and recognized them as Kakashi and Sasuke's. "What if I killed all the people you loved?" Sasuke yelled. "All of them are already gone." Kakashi replied. "What about Natalie. She thought of you as her father and rescuer." He shouted. Kakashi cut the ropes and walked past me as I looked at Sasuke who was leaning against a tree. I jumped in front of him and hugged him. "Thank you for defending me." I said. I felt four chakras appear and I teleported into my old apartment. I grabbed a bag and filled it with my clothes and weapons. I still had some room so I went into Kakashi's and found an old Anbu outfit with a cat mask and clawed gloves. I shoved them in my bag, but heard a whimper behind me. "I have to go Niobi. Make sure to watch after everyone especially Naruto. Make sure he doesn't get into trouble." I said petting his head gently. "Okay and I won't follow you if you are worrying about that." He said. I nodded and teleported to Sasuke and noticed an unconscious Sakura on a bench. "Not you too." He said sadly. "Trust me I didn't come here to try and stop you. I'm coming with you, I talked to Orochimaru about it." I said gently. He nodded and we walked into the woods where they told Sasuke to meet them. They explained how we needed to die in order to get more powerful. Sasuke and I took ours at the same time, but he collapsed and I had purple flames surrounding my body. "Why isn't she dead?" One of them asked. "She has the Brougtoken it absorbs power when it's given." One of them replied. Ignored them and pick up Sasuke and we got into the barrel. It was small so my legs were over his and his head was on my shoulder. They closed it and my and Sasuke were in complete darkness. He was squirming and I stroked his hair lightly. "It'll be okay Sasuke." I murmured trying to calm him down. I fell asleep until I was shaken awake. "Let them go!" I could hear Naruto and Shikamaru say at the same time. "Natalie..." I could hear Sasuke whisper. "What are you dreaming about?" I asked looking at him. We started moving again and I could read their minds. I knocked lightly on the barrel and they stopped and opened it and I got out and closed it again. "It was starting to get cramped in there." I said stretching my body. We started running until we heard shouting again. I transformed into a different person and matched the clothes they were wearing. "Give Sasuke and Natalie back!" Naruto shouted. I blinked at him and noticed the fierceness in his eyes. I froze up and stared at Neji who had his hands up ready to activate his Byakugan. I threw some hand signs around and teleported to an empty field. Neji would have found out that I was disguising myself on purpose.

*FLASHBACK*
I walked up to Neji and started a conversation. "I can copy your Byakugan." I said naturally. I blinked and Neji gasped. "The Brougtoken really is an amazing kekkei genkai." He said looking at my eyes. I deactivated my Brougtoken and smiled at him. We talked for a little more before I saw Sakura come up to me. "Hey I got you an orchid like we planned for Lee." I nodded and took the flower from her hand. We walked to Lee's room and put our flowers in a vase. "I'm going to head to see Sasuke." She said walking out. I nodded and looked back at Lee. "Come on Lee. You gotta get better so you can keep trying to win me or Sakura's heart. I still have to show you how to make some good food." I said with a sad laugh trying to hold back tears. I felt a hand on my shoulder and looked at Gai. "I'm sure he would appreciate to hear that." He said looking quite sad. "Who said I didn't?" I heard a voice ask. I looked up from the floor to see Lee sitting up. I launched myself at him and hugged him. "You're okay." I sputtered letting a few tears spill out. I let go of him and saw the huge smile on his face. "You should rest Lee, I'm going to go get a nurse." I said walking out of the room.
*END OF FLASHBACK*

I snapped out of it as I heard yelling. "Natalie get out of the way!" I heard Lee shout. I looked at him and realized I let go of the jutsu. A burning pain shot through my head and I naturally grabbed onto the necklace Gaara gave me. I looked up at Lee who had passed out on the floor and noticed a sake bottle. "Lee you idiot." I muttered looking at a man who was making weapons out of his bones. "I'm Kimimaro you must be Natalie." I glared at him and looked at Lee. I couldn't move and just watched as Lee continued to lose the fight. I noticed the tight grip I had on the vial of sand. I felt it move and looked down at it and noticed the sand swirling in it. "Gaara..." I whispered.
