Jared's POV

Darkness.

Light.

Darkness.

Light.

Darkness.

Darkness.

Darkness.

Dark-

"Ow!"

I yelled, I jut upwards off the ground.

"Oh! Thank God!"

Grace yelled beside me.

"I-I thought you were dead!"

I think a couple red wood trees grew around her.

"I-I thought I was going to have to take your powers! I-I just....."

She sighed and sat down.

"God, you scared me."

After a minute she stood back up angrily.

"Don't ever do that agian!"

She yelled.

I was dazed.

'Man,' I thought 'that girl can talk fast.'

"Geez, Grace, I did just like, pass out and your talking so fast I'm getting a headache, and-"

"Ugh, I'm turning into you."

I put my hand to my head.

"Hey, what happened to those monsters?"

I asked

"Last time I was awake I was surrounded by 'black chickens' and you were in a house surrounded by fire that wasn't mine."

"What happened?"

Grace sighed,

"Long story short, ugh, I sorda kinda, freaked out when the fire stopped and you know, you like died, and stuff, so, ya I killed a lot of trees, oh , and Morgana was the one that took your powers, she just wanted to scare you."

She smiled weakly,

"Sorry."

"Screw Morgana,"

I said, my eyes were getting really heavy, like bricks were weighing them down,

"You don't take a freaking fire guardians powers away......jerk."

Grace cracked up laughing and I smiled.

I think I may have either fallen asleep or past out again.

"Jared."

A voice said.

"Jared, I know you don't want to but you have to listen to me."

"Ugh, mom?"

I said.

My mom was looking at me urgently, she had red hair, and blue eyes, she was the best mom any person could ever ask for, but honestly. Wake your 12 year old son up at 2am on a Saterday? What kind of parent does that?

"What the crap mom!? It's freaking 2am on a Saterday?!"

I sat up groggily.

"I know, and I'm sorry, but there's something I have to tell you."

I rolled my eyes.

"What?"

"We only have a limited amount of time to talk,"

she looked nervous

"Your about to find a world you shouldn't really have to deal with, but that's not your choice or mine."

She grabbed my shoulder.

"Were almost out of time," she bit her lip,

"Okay, Jared, take your friends,

One: Don't waste time with monsters, run if you have to, but don't waste time."

"Second: Get to Morgana's castle as fast as you can."

"Third: Her palace is where thorns grow only for pain."

She looked at me sadly.

"And fourth: Don't forget, I love you."

"Wha-?"

She turned to dust

Grace yelled

"Jared, wake up!"

I jumped up as fast as possible.

"Grace,"

I said

"We have to find Kristin and Cole."

She smirked

"I know,"

She smiled

"That's why I was waking you up."

She turned around and pet something-

"No way!"

I said

"It was hard to track her down but I found her!"

Grace looked back at me and smiled.

"Come on!"

She jumped on the-

"Come on Beauty, let's go find our friends!"

I jumped on next to Grace.

"This is epic!"

She turned her head.

"I know."

And we rode off, on a pure white unicorn.
