We arrived at the beach by 2:00 AM. It was pretty early, so we decided to walk by the beach first. Kenneth bought a leash for Kent so we can walk him. We entered the room then unpacked our stuff. We requested for a week vacation from school, and the school allowed us. Kenneth went straight to the bathroom and I put Kent on the bed. I tried putting the leash on him but he kept biting the leash.

"Ay, Kenneth oh! Ayaw magpatali!"

I shouted, still trying to put the leash on him.

"Pararakin na leng narin!"

"Ano?"

He washed his mouth and walked back to the room.

"Palalakarin na lng natin sya. Tara na?"

He carried Kent and we went outside of the room. We went inside the elevator and it took us to the ground floor.

"Morning po, sir, ma'am"

The attendants greeted us.

"Goodmorning."

We both said. They smiled at us then we left the hotel.

After a few minutes of walking...

"Kent! Wag masyadong malayo!"

I shouted. We let Kent walk around while we follow him.

"Grabe, parang anak natin si Kent noh?"

"Oo naman! Ginusto mo yan eh!"

"Regalo nga eh."

Kenneth said while looking away from me.

"Huy, sorry na!"

I said while letting him face me.

"Huy! Kenneth! Monthsary, na monthsary natin nagtatampo ka..."

He still didn't face me. I ignored him and ran towards Kent.

"Taki!"

Now he followed me. I carried Kent and faced him.

"Ano? Ayaw mo kong pansinin kanina eh. Tas ngayon..."

"Sorry... Please?"

He kissed me on the cheek then I put Kent down.

"Malapit na sunrise oh. Dun tyo?"

I nodded then I let Kent down. He ran towards the rock that was near the place that Kenneth suggested. We both sat down on that place then felt the shore.

"I wish ganito tyo ka-free in Manila."

"Free naman tyo ah?"

"Hinde, I mean free na, walang tawag-tawag, walang problema..."

"Ahh..."

"Paano mo nga pala alam na best toh sa mga beaches? Ung place na ganito?"

"Part ung ng isang bangkero. Tsaka nung high-school ako, nung nasa Cebu pa ako, dinadala ko ung crush ko sa mga ganito. Sinubukan ko syang ligawan, tas nung sumunod na araw, sinabi nya na aalis na daw sya. Sabi nya babalik sya at hinintay ko sya. Hanggang umabot nng college, bumigay din ako..."

"Hmm... Naipasok mo pa yun ah?"

Then we both laughed. May crush pa din sya, at ramdam ko na umaasa parin sya.
