Gaea's Baptism

At the condo...

"Kenneth, when we graduate, do you think we should move to a bigger home?"

"Why not? It will be good for the kids naman din eh."

"Kids ka dyan. Isa lng muna, kinakawawa mo naman ako."

"Sorry..."

"Parang ang hirap din kasi kung titira tyong 4, kasama na si Eya, dito. Ang liit ng space natin."

"I'm sorry you had to bring Aya here."

"Sus. That's nothing. Balak ko ngang ibigay toh sakanya pag naka-lipat na tyo."

"Hmm... Bakit hinde na lng tyo lumipat agad-agad?"

"Agad-agad, Love?"

"Oo... I'm sure we can find a home in a week or two."

"But, paano si Aya? Hinde nya pa kaya mag-isa lalo na't ngayon lng sya nakapunta ng Manila."

"Right... Then she can go to our home when we move then give her directions or take her to her destination."

I sighed.

"Upo ka kaya muna, ang bigat ni Eya noh?"

"Yes... My back hurts na."

"Upo ka na. Ako na muna mag-aalaga. Kung gusto no, magpahinga ka na rin."

"Okay..."

I stood up and gave Gaea to him. I kissed his cheek, and went to bed.

5 months later... The christening of Baby Eya...
Kenneth holds Eya, while they listened to the priest.

Then the priest asked the questions then puts a sign of the cross on Eya's forehead. Kenneth walked closer to the priest then he baptized Eya.

"Welcome to the Christian world, Gabrielle Alejandra Esmerald Angela Medrano!"

Then everyone rejoiced. Everybody went to our house, that was newly build a month ago. We entertained our guest, then they asked if they could take pictures with Eya. After the party, everyone went home.

9:00 PM...

Kenneth was in the bathroom, taking a bath. While I was in bed, both legs bended, and Eya between them. I was making her laugh, and that was the most precious scene from her in my life. Kenneth came out and saw us still playing. He sat beside me and we both made Eya laugh. She fell asleep after a few minutes, then we layed her down on the crib that was beside our bed. I faced Kenneth and palmed his face.

"I love you so much, Kenneth. Thank you for everything."

"That's nothing, love. I love you more and I will give everything I have and do everything I could."

The he kissed my forehead and we slept.
