Chapter 2
I looked at my mom then at Lea and they we’re both looking at doctor crying silently. I just stood there in shocked looking at the doctor not realising that I was also crying and whispered ‘’ This can’t be happening. ‘’ One month later, I’ve started to feel a little bit better each day because of the medecins that the doctor told me to take but I was still sick and it was showing a little. We’ve decided to leave Montreal and live in Ontario because there was too much things that brought us bad memories. My mom bought a house there so we could start a new story of our lives and forget about the negatives things that happened in the past.
My thoughts about what happened through the whole pass year got interupted by my mom omming in my room with a glass of water in one hand and in the other there was my medecins. I took them and thanked her. She gave me a weak smile like shed id every morning and got out of my room closing the door behind her. I put the medecins one by one in my mouth and drank the whole glass of water in a matter of seconds. After that, I got in the kitchen and put the glass in the sink. When I was going to reach for the fridge, the doorbell rang. ‘’I got it’’ I screamed while jogging towards the door. It was Linda. My neighboor. Her and her husband we’re great friends of us since we moved in here. When my mom was out at night, they would keep an eye on me incase that something ad would happen… so they knew my secret. ‘’Hey Linda !’’ I said smiling widly. I always loved her. ‘’Hey sweety’’ She said, smiling back at me. ‘’ How are you feeling ? ‘’ she added. ‘’I’m good you ?’’ I said while letting her in. ‘’Great thanks. Is your mom here ? ‘’ she asked while guetting in. ‘’Yes she’s in the living room.’’ I said while going back in the kitchen and took on apple on the counter and went in Lea’s room. It felt so empty without her in the house. She went back to Montreal to visit her grandmother. She didn’t want to go but it was the only way so she could come and live with us here. She had to go visit her grandmother every 2 weeks per 6 months. I missed her so much even if she was only gone for 2 days yet. I got out of her room and joined Linda and my mom in the living room. Linda saw me and patted a seat beside her for me to join the conversation. ‘’You know y grandson Aden ? ‘’ Linda asked. ‘’ Well you told me alot about him. Why ? ‘’ i asked looking at them suspiciously. ‘’ Well… Aden is coming back to live here in Statford and he’s going to live here in your house until he could find a proper place to live…’’ she said looking at me seriously. I didn’t know why she was looking at me like that, I mean what bad could happen ? He was 20 and I was 16… Nothing could happen between us. I saw a hundreds of pictures of him and he wasn’t my type anyways. ‘’ Okay… And ?’’ I said trying to get to the point of why she was looking at me like that. ‘’ Well we wanted to know if you wanted us to tell him about you know… Your secret ? ‘’ I looked down at my hands. I didn’t knew him at all and I didn’t want anyone that I didn’t know to know about me so I shooked my head and said ‘’ We should keep it as a secret. ‘’ I looked at Linda and she just smiled a little and nodded then she gave me a big hug. She got up while saying ‘’ Thanks Emma for letting him stay here… I got to go, I have to do the dinner. ‘’ I smiled at her and walked her to the door while asking ‘’ When is he comming ?’’ She got outside while saying ‘’ Tomorrow early in the morning. ‘’ then she gave me one last hug before going back to her house across the street. I closed the door gently. The day passed by quickly and I went in Sara’s room to sleep since Aden was going to take mine and I don’t know why he had to take mine but I just followed my mom’s instuctions. I never liked to argue with her so I always did as told.
The next morning I woke up to the sound of my mom talking with I don’t know who. I got up and went downstairs to see who it was, but when I saw that it was a way too attractive guy who was talking to my mom I quickly turned around and tried walking back up the stairs quietly so he wouldn’t see me in my pink way too PINK pyjamas. But being clumsy me, when I tried to take one step I tripped and fell on m yass that did a loud * BADOOM ! * I quickly got up and saw my mom chuckling and the guy laughing slightly at my clumsiness. I cursed underneath my breath and went down since he already saw me. ‘’ You must be Neila. ‘’ The guy said. ‘’ Yes that’s me hehe… And you are ? ‘’ I said feeling a little embarrassed ‘’ I’m Aden. ‘’ He said chuckling. When he said his name my eyes grew wide. That coudn’t be him ! I mean in the pictures that Linda showed me, he wasn’t THAT attractive ! He had light brown eyes, golden hair that was cut above his neck perfectly. He had a perfect tanned skin and we could see underneath his v-neck shirt that he had an amazing body. As I thought that I was going to droll on the floor, I quickly got back to my senses when my mom told me ‘’ Leila, show him your room since he’s going to use it while he’s staying here. ‘’ I nodded and tried to avoid his amazing brown eyes and said ‘’ follow me. ‘’
