CHAPTER 9: Suicide Squad

"Wyatt....how come you haven't left me yet?" He asked. I was facing the ceiling, on His bed, laying opposite from Him, so when I heard his voice and didn't see his lips move, I was so taken back that I had to ask him to speak again.
"You know, why haven't you left me yet?"
He was holding my hand.
"Out of all the things that I've done, and I've done some pretty fucked up things to you, some really fucked up emotional things to you, why haven't you left me yet? I came on to you without your consent, and I tried to get you to like me without you liking me back, and although we've become this now," He paused and took a deep breath. "Why haven't you left my sorry, pathetic ass yet?"
I was looking at him as he talked but almost as soon as he finished talking to me, I looked up at the ceiling. "Because I promised that I would never leave you." There were small tears in my eyes.
He didn't say anything else, but he did kiss my hand.
That seemed to do just the trick.
Waking up from my not-so-peaceful slumber, I took the liberty to wake the beast, who was currently sleeping on my head, from his slumber as well.
"Ughhhhhhh! I hate you sometimes, Wyatt!!! Like, seriously, you didn't have to shove me off the bed. I could have slept in," Jay groaned, sitting up while wiping his eyes.
"It's Friday, we have to go to school," I simply replied.
"Ugh, don't remind me!"
I got up, only to check my phone, which happened to be filled with what seemed like a thousand notifications. I first decided to check my mother's messages.
MOM: Good morning, baby! Hope you and Ash are safe and everything is okay. Bless his heart, but seriously look out for him and tell him I love him, and make sure you eat, and brush your teeth, and don't forgot today is a SCHOOL DAY! Have a good day at school, son! <3
I smiled and rolled my eyes at my mother's text. She does the most sometimes, but I can't blame her right now. Jay's breakdown last night was one of the worst that I have seen in awhile. He probably had worst breakdowns when I wasn't around.
Thinking back to Jay's breakdown made the events from last night flow into my head. From my mother bringing my clothes, to me explaining everything that happened, to Jay's mother agreeing to cook us breakfast in the morning and taking us to school. It was a horrible, dysfunctional mess, but we made it work. At least we knew what to do to make everything seem okay.
"Go take a shower, maybe that will help," I called out to Jay after seeing him sniff his armpits.
"Shut up," he called walking into the bathroom.
I rolled my eyes but smiled, deciding to skip a shower and got dressed. My pink v-neck, dark blue jeans, and baby blue vans seemed to suit today. I wanted today to be happy. I wanted everything to be happy for Jay, for his family, and for my night with Aryan.
Speaking of Aryan....
"Did he text me last night?" I asked, scrolling through my phone to get to our messages, surprised that he hadn't sent me a text at all. Maybe he was busy. Regardless, I sent him a text with a simple "Good morning," before remembering what I had intended to do while I was here.
I went into my bag and got the gold covered box just in time to meet Jay out of his shower.
"What do you have there?" He asked. He only had a towel wrapped around his waist, so that meant his forming six pack was exposed.
