Nothing eventful happened that evening. We grabbed some food and went to the park but other then that it was pretty dull.

Today, unfortunately, is a Monday. Which means starting school. A new school. Again. Some people would be nervous about this but me, I'm not. I've done it so many times that I'm not bothered.

"Sophie! We need to go." George calls up the stairs.

"Coming!"

George starts college here today so he's dropping me at school before heading there. I go downstairs and grab my school bag.

George gives me a look as if to say "Are you ready?". Obviously my answer would be yes so I don't reply and head out to the car. George climbs in next to me and starts the engine.

"I know you didn't have breakfast so here." He hands me a banana and smiles. At least if everything goes wrong, I've got George.

"Have a good day yeah?" George says as I climb out the car.

"I'll try. Bye!"

"Love you!"

I laugh at him as he drives off and turn to face the school. It's not very big but it's big enough for you to get lost. There's a few girls walking into the main building and some boys lurking by a tennis court.

Im snapped out of my staring by a boy tapping my shoulder.

"Hey, sorry if this is weird but you seem to be new right?" The boy says smiling.

He has short dark brown hair and piercing green eyes. He's the same height as me, if not slightly taller and is wearing the same colour tie as me.

"Err yeah I'm new." I stumble through the words.

"So what year are you?"

"Ten, you?"

"Oh same. Let me guess, 10y with Miss Lee?"

I look down at my timetable and smirk.

"How'd you know that?" I laugh.

"I'm the same tutor as you."

"Oh, can you show me where we go?"

"Yes, I'm Ethan by the way."

"Sophie." I smile.

We head off round the back of the school to where the art and science blocks are. We head into the art block and up two flights of stairs.

"So this is us." Ethan says pointing at a room. I can see through the little window that there are a lot of kids in there.

"Right. Ok." I breathe in sharply.

"Don't worry, you'll fit in fine. They might make a joke about us dating or something." He laughs.

"Why?"

"Just because I brought you here and got to know you a bit."

"Well I'm looking forward to this." I laugh.

Ethan opens the door and everyone looks around to where we are. The noise and chatter dies down as they realise that I'm 'the new girl'.

"Guys, this is Sophie." Ethan says to everyone.

"Hey" Some of them say to me as Ethan guides me to a seat next to him. I sit down and look around.

All these kids look so much bigger and older than me. There's a few girls who look quite friendly but the only real person in this whole room that I would be drawn to is Ethan. Just because of his bubbly vibe obviously.

"Right. 10Y settle down. We've got a register to do." Miss Lee walks in and says. I have a feeling today is going to be a long one.
