It's been a couple months since the whole park thing. Well not a thing, more like an incident.
Ethan seemed to keep his distance from me ever since that night and I'm not sure why.
George and Olivia seem to be really close and she's been round our house quite a few times. She's really nice so I don't really mind.
"Hey, umm Soph?" George says, tapping my shoulder. I spin around and he shuffles around awkwardly.
"Yeah?"
"Can I talk to you?" He looks over at James.
"Alone? Come upstairs?"
"Yeah sure?" I head upstairs with him and he shuts the door to his room behind us.
"Sit down." He looks kind of nervous and it's making me very on edge.
"What's going on?"
"I don't know how to say it."
"Just say it?"
"I'm dating Olivia." I freeze. That wasn't what I was expecting. I suppose I should've worked it out but it's still a bit of a shock.
I must've been sat in my own thoughts for a while as George starts talking again.
"She's just so amazing. You're ok with this yeah?"
"I-I need to go." I run out the room. I know exactly where I need to go.
"Sophie! Please come back." I hear George call as I leave the house. I run out the drive and turn right into Ethan's garden.
I knock frantically on the door and pull away quick as I hear it being unlocked. The door opens to reveal a shirtless Ethan.
"Woah, Sophie?" He says, obviously shocked that I'm at his house.
"We need to talk."
Ethan's POV:
"We need to talk." The words leave her mouth in a rush. I know something's not right but I'm not sure what.
I'm just surprised she's here to be honest. After what happened at the park, I kept my distance.
I thought she had found it awkward and I didn't want to make things weird between us.
"Yeah, sure. Come in." I invite her in and shut the door behind her.
"Is Olivia home?"
"Nope."
"Good."
I walk over to the sofa and she takes a seat next to me.
"Why? Is this about Liv?" I ask.
"And George."
"They're not dating right?"
She goes quiet and starts fiddling with her bracelet.
"They're dating." I take a sharp breath in. I spoke to Liv about this. I said she couldn't do that because i liked someone. I know I should be supportive but i can't.
"Yeah, I thought you knew."
"Well obviously I don't." I say it harshly and see Sophie shuffle uncomfortably.
"I guess I'll go then." She says and gets up. She heads towards the door and opens it.
"Wait."
"For what?"
"This." I couldn't let her leave and I don't know why. Something was telling me that I needed her here, with me. So I kissed her.
