Ethan's POV:
I smirked as I read the piece of paper. It must of been what she had put in my pocket earlier. Obviously I don't like Mia like that and I'm not going to call her because I have Sophie.
NEW MESSAGE FROM - Soph❣️
*don't bother coming over to mine later.*
*why? xx*
*😤😤😤*
*call me and explain? x*
*call mia.*Shit. She must've seen the note. How am I supposed to explain this?
*she gave it to me. I'm not going to call her.*
*then why are you getting in a mood with me? you just ran away at lunch?*
*let me explain later.*She doesn't reply but she didn't say no. I look up from my phone to see her stood in front of me. I didn't know how long she'd been standing there but she's here now.
"I promise I didn't have anything to do with the note." I say, walking over to her.
"Well she's obviously got the idea that you like her."
"Well I don't."
She sighs and runs her hand through her hair. I can tell she's upset.
"I hate this." She mutters.
"You hate what?" Her head perks up as she realised she said that out loud.
"Nothing."
"You hate me? Us?" I ask, stepping back from her.
"No. I hate that we have to do everything so secretly."
"We can't help that."
"Just give me some space." She says slowly as the bus pulls up. I follow her on and slide into the seat next to her.
"If you think you can leave that easily, I have a lot to prove." I say placing my hand on her knee.
"Don't hurt me." She whispers.
"I'm not like him. I would never." I trace circles on her knee with my finger. I know how her previous relationship affected her.
"I'm coming over later, whether you like it or not." I wink at her and a large grin appears on her face.
