Screw it. If I like him, I like him. I might as well make the most of this whilst I've got it. I'm distracted from my thoughts by my phone ringing. "Hello?" I ask the phone. "Sophie? Hey!" Ethan's voice whispers from the other side of the line. "Ethan? Why are you calling?" I whisper back. "I'm going cycling so I won't be able to talk. I just wanted to hear your voice." "Awh. Have fun." "I'm so glad you agreed to this. It's so nice to know that you're mine." He whispers softly. My whole stomach fills with butterflies and I'm blushing like an idiot. "Why are you whispering E?" I giggle. "E? And because my dad is right outside my door." "Yeah, E. Shouldn't you go? Don't want you running late." "Yeah, ok. Bye Soph, I'll text you later"
The call ends and I'm left with butterflies. I turn my head and see George stood in the doorway. Shit. "Soph?" He asks. "Oh, umm hey?" "Who was on the phone?" "Just some kid from school" I mean, technically that wasn't a lie. "Oh." "Why?" "Just wondering. You seemed close to Ethan today?" His eyes are staring at me as if they are looking straight through me. "Just friends." I reply quickly. "Yeah." He says and walks out. That was awkward.
I walk over to my mirror and begin taking off my makeup. I shove on some pyjamas and climb into bed. My laptop lies across my lap playing Stranger Things off Netflix whilst I scroll on my instagram. I see Liv has posted a photo of her and George with a cute little caption.
