Lorcan P.O.V
"Why won't you talk to me, Elide? It has been six months since Aelin was captured, and two since we got her back."
"I'm not talking to you because you betrayed me. You betrayed my friends, Aelin and Aedion are practically family. Then you told me you did it for me. I would have rather died with my family, than be saved that way."
The way she said she would have died, there was no hesitation in her voice. That killed me. She didn't realize if she died I die.
"Because of you Aelin was tortured day and night. I will never forgive you. Save yourself some time and don't talk to me."
"You know I can't do that."
"Why not? You didn't care about my opinion when you betrayed me. You didn't care about my opinion when you betrayed me. You betrayed the only family you would have. Me, Rowan, Feneys, Gavriel. We would have loved you like a brother. Like a mate."
"Elid-"
"Save it I don't want to hear it."
"Goodbye Lorcan."
Elide P.O.V
I can't believe him. I opened my home and my heart to him and he crawled back to that bitch Maeve. I can't even look at him anymore. Anyway I won't have Manon is coming to get me tomorrow.

The next day
Lorcan P.O.V
She was leaving today leaving me. Going with those witches. She wasn't one of them. She didn't have to go with then. STOP! She doesn't want you. You making her decisions for her is what got you into this problem in the first place. Today she will leave and then you will be alone like always.
Elide P.O.V
"Hey, Manon!"
"Hello, Edide. Get on the wyvern we got places to go. I got a kingdom to run."
"Sure no problem. Just let me get my bag. Oh crap I left it in my room. I'll go get it. Wait here."
I ran off to get my bag. I ran to my room and got it. I ran all the way back to the front gate, just to find Lorcan and Manon screaming at each other.
"To can't take her away from me witch!"
"Why not?"
"Because she is my mate." He whispered the word mate.
"Did she accept the bond?"
"She doesn't know." He sneered.
"Are you sure?"
"What did you do Manon?"
"I did nothing you just told her." She said with a smirk.
He turned around and looked at me. Then his eyes opened wide in realisation that I heard everything. I turned around and ran away to my quiet spot. A little shelf in the library. Lorcan can't track my smell there because of some spell that had been laid on the library a long time ago. I needed time to think. I was his mate.
