Dorian P.O.V
"Manon hurry up Chaol is coming back from the Southern Continent today. I want us in the front of the castle to greet him."
"Calm yourself Dorian. It's as if you are his boyfriend."
"Wow Manon that hurt me. You know you are my one and only."
I smiled at her and leaned in for a kiss.
"No no no Dorian. You want us to be ready to greet Chaol. What happens if we are kissing when we arrive?"
Damn her using my words against me! But she was right. A carriage pulled up infront of us. Chaol stepped out and so did a woman with golden skin. If I wasn't in love with Manon I would have gone for this girl. She was quite beautiful.
"Chaol you are up and walking!"
"It's good to see you too Dorian."
He said with a laugh.
The golden skinned woman stopped walking when she got next to Chaol.
"Oh Dorian, may I introduce you to my wife, Yrene."
He was married. Damn! Here I thought I would have the biggest surprise.
"Congratulations. Pleasure to meet you Yrene."
"Please King Dorian, with all I've heard about you the pleasure is all mine."
"All good things I hope. And please just Dorian."
I took her hand and gave it a kiss. Chaol coughed. I just loved to tease him.
"May I introduce you to my girl-"
"Hello mortal my name is Manon."
Chaol had a look of confusion on his face.
"I'm sorry Manon are you fae."
He asked.
This was going to be fun for me.
"No mortal. I'm far better that a fae. I am a Queen."
"Really? Of what people."
"Not people witches. The Crochan Whitches."
Chaol's face instantly turned pale. He looked like he was going to faint. Yrene simply stared Manon straight in the face and said
"Would you please stop trying to scare the shit out of my husband?"
Manon snapped her teeth and nails into place.
"Your not scared if me girl."
"I am but I know that Dorian has you on a tight leash."
Oh shit. Yrene has claws of her own.
"Let me inform you girl the only leach that we use is in the bedroom. And that is just to motivate Dorian."
Manon smiled.
"I will have to try that sometime." Yrene laughed while looking at Chaol. I didn't think he could get any paler but he did.
"Come with me girl I think you and me will be fast friends."
And with that both women walked into the castle.
