Aelin P.O.V
"Aedion move your ass! It's been more than five minutes! We will be late. Rowan's probably out front by now. With the rest of the Cadre."
He walked out of his room. He leaned on a wall like a model.
"How do I look Aelin?"
He looked the exact same. I didn't want to tell him that. He would just change into a different outfit and that would take more time.
"You look gorgeous in anything, cousin. Let's go."
We walked out of the apartment. Rowan was in fact out front. I ran up to him and gave him a hug. He put an arm over my shoulders.
~~~
Aedion P.O.V
Rowan put his arm around Aelin. I couldn't help feel jealous. He is so hot! I bet he is into my cousin. I got to set boundaries. Be territorial.
"Hi Aedion. I'm Rowan."
He looked at me and I immediately locked eyes with him.
"Hi Rowan."
Aelin looked at is and rolled her eyes.
"Enough with this territorial shit, Rown. Where's the rest of the Cadre."
Without looking away from me he answered her.
"They are already training. Let's meet up with them."
We started walking towards the training area. The whole time I refused to break eye contact with Rowan.
~~~
When we got to the training area I tore my glare away from Rowan to see the Cadre. I actually almost swooned when I saw them. They were all shirtless! I looked around again. One of them was missing. Gavriel was missing. I wonder where he was?
Aelin tore me from my thoughts.
"Aedion let's train."
I took off my shirt and to my satisfaction I felt people staring at me. Good let them look. My body looked as good at theirs. Me and Aelin were about to start training when she stopped and look at some one behind me.
"Kitty Cat! You brought coffee."
I knew that Kitty Cat was Gavriel because they nicknamed him the Lion. When I turned to look at him his jaw dropped. He tried to say something but his mouth was just opening and closing. I guess he settled on something.
"How old are you? And what's your name."
I was confused. Why was he asking me my age? Was h? interested in me?
"I'm twenty two. And I'm Aedion."
He nodded.
"Who is your mother?"
Was he interested in my mother? Too bad for him. She was dead.
"It doesn't matter. She is dead."
Nobody around us was moving. It's like they were all listening to our conversation. He looked like he wad getting angry.
"How are you realated to Aelin?"
This question I could answer. It wasn't like that was a secret.
"Aelin's mother was my aunt. So Aelin is my cousin."
His eyes widened.
"Who is your father?"
Why was he asking me all these personal questions?
"Mom wouldn't tell me. All I know is that he left when I was young."
Realisation struck him.
"You're my son Aedion."
Shit. Nope. Nope. NOPE.
I couldn't handle this.
"If you're my father you can fuck off! You left my mother. She died and you could have helped her. We didn't have enough money to pay for her treatment. Yet you are a famous basketball player! YOU COULD HAVE HELPED! SHE DIDNT HAVE TO DIE!"
Gavriel just stood infront of me. He looked like he just got hit. I didn't care I stormed off. I couldn't stand him right now. I couldn't be near him.
