Rowan P.O.V
Today a couple of Terrasen's Southern allies are coming to visit. More specifically Nesryn, Sartaq and his hearth-sister Borte. She has a fascination with fae. I only agreed to this meeting because we have only just recently saved Aelin and she has yet to act like herself. Nesryn is one of her friends I hope she can make Aelin act like herself again. I  really do hope Nesryn can help Aelin. I miss her fiery passion. I also really do hope that Borte is not fanatic. I really do have answering millions of questions about fae.

I chose our lounge to meet Nesryn, Sartaq and Borte. I didn't want it to be to formal. Also it was very close to Aelin and I's bedroom. She would insist on walking yo wherever we held the meeting and I really didn't want her to ingure herself more. The whip marks on her back were bad enough. When Nesryn entered the room she ran up to Aelin and gave her a hug. Aelin winced a little but  quickly hid it. Sartaq stood awkwardly at the door. Borte practically pushed him into the room. As soon as Borte saw me her eyes widened and her mouth open in shock. She quickly made her way over to the seat next to mine. Though she stayed a reasonable distance away.
"Greetings Prince Sartaq. Welcome Borte and Nesryn."
Sartaq bowed his head as a sign of respect, Nesryn waved to me and Borte just kept on staring mouth open.
"Your Rowan Whitehorn."
She speaks. That is the first words Borte has spoken to me. By the way that she pushed Sartaq into the room in guessing she was never this polite or quiet.
"Yes."
"Your my favorite fae."
"Have you met many fae, Borte?"
"No but I have heard of you, Gavriel, Fenrys, Connall, Vaughan and Lorcan. You guys are the Cadre. I've always wanted to meet you."
"Well here I am. Do you have any questions you want to ask me?"
"Yes. I know that you can shift into a hawk. Where do your clothes go when you shift?"
"I have no idea."
"How many days can you stay in your hawk form?"
"As long as I choose to. I choose not to because eventually my powers would run out and then I would be stuck in my hawk form until my magic replenishes itself."
"When you are in you hawk form what do you eat? Do you eat bird/hawk food or do you eat fae food?"
I look at Aelin mentally begging her for help. She just looks amused. I see a smile begin to form on her lips.
"I can eat which ever food I choose."
"Have you ever killed a person in your hawk form?"
"Yes."
"What do fae use their canines for?"
"To look fierce."
"Really Rowan? I thought it was for bitting fae woman and marking which woman belongs to them."
I was surprised to hear Aelin's voice. She hadn't spoken much since she was rescued. Borte looked at me and raised and eyebrow. Nesryn stared at Sartaq and blushed. I guess it's not only fae males who bite their women.
"Yes, canines are also used for that purpose too."
I started to blush a little. Nobody bit Aelin would have noticed. She laughed really loudly.
"What's wrong Rowan are you embarrassed of your savage ways?" Aelin taunted. I sent her a glare while simultaneously growling at her.
"Brat."
"Buzzard."
I chuckled a little. Aelin was acting more like herself already.
I missed your laugh Fireheart. You look beautiful when you smile.
She sent me a smug look.
I always look beautiful buzzard.
That I can agree with Fireheart. I love you.
I love you too Rowan.
I very faintly heard Borte whisper to Nesryn.
"Can all far do that?"
"No I think only mates can do that."
"What do you think their talking about, Nesryn?"
"Probably how annoying you are with all your questions Borte. I wasn't even the one you were asking and I got annoyed."
Me and Aelin both laughed loudly at that.
"Damn fae hearing."
