Layla's eyes suddenly popped open. She could feel someone breathing on the back of her neck. She smiled and turned towards the breath. D.O.G.was carelessly sprawled out on Layla's satin sheets. Totally limp. Layla looked to her nightstand, flicking her lamp on. Her eyes fixated on her alarm clock. Something was taped. A note? Layla pulled it from the clock, flipping it over.
Hey baby. Your probably wondering why I wasn't laying next to you a second ago. I needed to do something. Talk to a friend about setting something up. Don't worry. It's for you.
P.S. You might find out who I really am.
Love, Justin
Layla stared at the note she clutched, lifelessly in her hands. Then it struck her. She was supposed to go on a movie date today. With Tony. Who earlier, had a certain hold on her heart. But not now. The mysterious, sexy and strange Justin had made her give in. And his eyes, as deep and true as they are, haven't helped much. Layla would atleast try to get through this ... thing with Tony. Not Justin. Not the boy that she met yesterday in her hospital bed. She glanced at the clock, flipping her dark locks from her eyes. It was already 7:03. Layla sure slept in. And that was thanks to Justin. The insanely beautiful boy that haunted her dreams. The same boy that put a spell on her. Whatever she tried, no matter how hard she tried, she couldn't stay away and she couldn't resist him. Could she ... ever?
Layla sprang up from her bed, fluffing up her hair infront of the mirror. She ran her fingers across the white flowers that were painted onto the surface. She sighed, pulling a flannel from her desk and throwing it over her head. She then looked around, grabbing an extra-skinny pair of jeans from the white carpet. She groaned, combing her hair with her fingers. Layla carelessly wiped some mascara over her lashes and swooped some brozer over her pale cheeks. They seemed stained with the blushes that Justin made her do. Her perfect lips and brow formed a thick line. Ready for action.
With that, she grabbed her phone from her pillow. One missed message from Tony and two from him. Justin. One part of her thought of him as a dream. A tempting one at that. She clicked on the first text.
Txt: Good morning, Beautiful. - Justin
Layla smiled wide, her eyelashes fluttering with every blink. She stared at the next text. She swallowed a big, worried gulp.
Txt: I hope your ready for this. - Justin
Layla bit her plump bottom lip. Though, it sounded a bit sexy, even dirty, she could feel her heart skip a single beat. Layla took a seat on her white wooden desk, holding her phone to her chest. Her heart beat out of time. And of course. She knew. Justin was making her act like this. Someway, somehow. She set her hand on her head, still feeling pain course through her head. Suddenly, her phone rang again.
"Hey. I'm outside" Tony spoke. Layla quietly sighed.
"Ok. See you in a sec." She spoke, trying to forge a smile and look to the bright side of things. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad.
Layla began walking towards Tony's classic forest-green Hummer. His head poked out from the car window. He was showing off his huge grin.
"Hey." Layla waved, hopping in next to him, giving Tony's arm a squeeze. He grinned even bigger and pulled Layla into to a hug. His muscles popped out of his gray tee and his dark hair swung over his plain brown eyes. Layla faked a smile and tried her best to hug him back. Tony squeezed.
"Don't squeeze... Too hard!" Layla began, losing her breath. She quickly noticed that this was going to be a very long and unpredictable night.
...
Tony and Layla stepped out of the theater, laughing at a stupid joke Tony must've said. Layla still had some feelings left for him. His funny-boy-charm let her in easily.
"Hey, you want something to drink? I noticed you kept licking your lips during the movie." He said. walking infront of Orange Julius.
"Ya." She warmly smiled at Tony. She did mean it? Didn't she?
"I would love a Strawberry Julius." Layla insisted, not even looking at the menu. Tony nodded, smiled and went up to the cashier. Layla's eyes wondered all over the mall. A huge TV rested in the middle of the food court. It was blasting new episodes of Ellen. Layla stared at the sceen, tuning in her ears. Tony nudged her shoulder, handing her the smoothie. Layla took a single sip. licking her wet llips. Her blue eyes, still staring at the screen. Ellen began to speak.
"Today, a very special young man is here. He is absolutely amazing and one of my personal favorites, Justin Bieber!" Ellen yelled, clapping. Everyone else in the audience began screaming. That's when... he stepped out on the stage with an acoustic guitar. No. That light brown, shaggy, shaken hair. No. The large hazel eyes. No. Justin. No. Couchboy. No. What the hell.
"Hey. It's great to be here. I love you guys." He spoke, smiling to all the screaming fans. He began to strum familar chords on his guitar.
"Baby, baby, baby, oh..." He sang with a deep voice. A voice of an angel. Justin couldn't be. No. A global star? Hell no! This wasn't real. The camera reeled, closing up on his friendly looking face. Without a single guess. That was him. All her grip gave out, Letting the smoothie drop onto Tony's feet. Layla gasped. Tony's mouth fell open. Her phone began to ring, vibrating deeply in her pocket.
"... Uh... Hello?" Layla managed, clutching the phone.
"Do you know now?" She could tell that Justin was smirking.
"I can't... Believe this..." Layla shrieked, throwing her hands in the air.
"Please do. Baby, this is only the beggining." Justin whispered, hanging up. Layla turned to Tony.
"Dude!" He screamed. A pricelessly-pissed expression glued to his face. Layla bit her lip, throwing an apologetic smile at Tony. She smiled to herself. Another side to Justin was intruduced. A new side. That she didn't know.
