If I Was Your Boyfriend...

Justin and Layla sat silently on her porch. No words flowed from there lips. That's when Justin opened his mouth. But Layla was the one to speak.

"So it was Derek." Layla set her hand on her cheek. She glanced back at Justin. They're eyes met quickly. And Justin sighed. As if he should have known the whole time. He took a quick breath as he raked his hand through his messy hair.

"Ya. He was the one who told the media about me and Selena." Justin smiled now. He knew that this was the end of all the crap.

'Hopefully. At least for now.' Layla thought as she reached out toward Justin, setting her hand on Justin's back. She gently ran her hand along the mid-section of his back. Justin grinned and swung his arm around Layla's shoulder.

Layla relaxed underneath his touch.

"Which by the way..." Justin glanced down, connecting with Layla. His eyes were sparkling. As if they were in a Twilight movie. Layla smiled, looking down at her hands. She was focussing in on Justin's voice. She hadn't heard it in this way... for God-knows how long.

Justin pursed his lips.

"It never happened." His voice flowed through the air.

It had a relaxing tone.

A right sound.

A good sound.

A Justin type of sound. Just what Layla wanted to hear. What she was missing. She knew in the back of her mind all along that she couldn't trust him. Derek And now she knew why.

But something was still missing. A piece of the puzzle. The picture. How could it be a lie? It was nearly set in stone. Well, paper in this case. Layla arched her brow.

"Hold on." Justin looked up at the tone of urgency in Layla's voice. His grip loosened on her fragile shoulder.

"Something still doesn't make sense, Justin." Layla words became firm. A bit harsh sounding. Almost as if Layla was accusing him of something. And she wasn't even sure of it. But the picture. . .

"The picture." Layla's lips formed a line along with her brow. Would Justin lie again? Hopefully not. Who knows what Derek had to do to photoshop something like that. But it looked so damn real. His smile along with hers. Justin's grip tightened again and his smile appeared again. But it was a bit faded.

Justin didn't want to go down the road of lies again. And he didn't even lie. Maybe Layla needed to learn to trust.

Justin was different.

Not like Derek.

And not like Tony.

And that was a good thing. Justin was the different one.

The good one.

The one.

And Layla trusted herself with this one. Layla's body relaxed as she took another deep breath.

"Its fake. He did it all. Trust me." He spoke confidently. Confident in the truth. The truth of the words he spoke. Layla's mind began to scramble.

'Get a grip! Are we really gonna do this again?' Her mind began to scream. The words that Justin spoke echoed in her mind.

"Trust Me." He whispered in her ear, gently leaning toward her. Justin pecked Layla's cheek and smiled against it. His eyes were closed.

This felt right.

This type of love.

Justin and Layla.

This wasn't a mistake. Trust issues didn't exist anymore. Layla turned toward Justin, softly pecking his lips. Finally!

Layla didn't have to lie to herself. The boy that made her smile was back. For good this time. And she didn't have to be scared again.

Justin smiled against her lips and pulled away slowly.

"You know what..." Justin smirked, making Layla smile.

A real smile.

Justin began to chuckle. In a sweet way that made Layla want to giggle. The way Justin laughed sounded some type of bells. Ringing in perfect harmony. Layla grinned as she waited for Justin's next words. Justin suddenly stood without a warning. He grinned, reaching her Layla's hand.

"Dance with me, shawty?" Justin began to pull Layla to her feet. They were face to face. Now chest to chest. Layla bit her bottom lip.

"There's no music." She smiled, swinging her arms around Justin's neck as he took her waist. He smirked again.

"I got that." He arched his brow, licking his lip casually. Layla laid her head on Justin's chest, listening closely to the beat of his heart. Justin cleared his throat.

"If I was your boyfriend, I'd never let you go."

Justin's voice was perfectly crisp and clean. Polished perfectly. It was beautiful. Possibly the best acoustic performance ever performed by him. Layla had never heard him sing in front of her before. His feet began to move along with hers.

"I could take you places you ain't never been before."

The next line reminded her. A book she must have read when she was younger. Innocent. A Dr. Sheds book. One of the lines was 'Oh the places you'll go.' Where could she go with Justin? Where would this love go? Justin glided along the floor.

"Baby, take a chance or you'll never ever know."

Layla took a chance. She found something pure. She found love. She found love in the back of a market. She learned to take chances all because of Justin. Justin leaned down closely, but pulled away at the last moment. He smirked.

"I got money in my hands that I'd really like to blow."

Layla didn't need fancy things to be in love. She just needed him. That's right. She needed Justin Bieber.

"Swag, Swag. On you."

All that reminded her of damn-fly Justin was. The way he smirked. The way he talked. Even the way he wobbled around when he walked.

Strangely, the whole sagging-pants thing was sexy to her. But anybody else who did it looked like an idiot. The whole time, he didn't stop to pull his pants up.

"Chillin' by the fire while we eatin' fondue."

And through this whole thing, they never had a proper date. Hopefully. Hopefully, that would change. But everything already did.

"I don't know about me, but I know about you. So hello to falsetto in three, two, swag."

Justin leaned in closer toward Layla.

Whispering in to her ear.

"I'd like to be everything you want." Layla pressed a finger to his lips and lifted her head. She smiled as she came up on her toes. Her mouth was resting against his ear. Layla didn't have to think about to say when he was around. Justin smiled behind her finger.

It came naturally.

And that's what she always wanted.

Through everything. All the pain. All the drama. The heartbreak, especcially.

But... even more then anything... she didn't want to wake up from this dream. And luckily, she didn't have to.

Layla grinned as she kissed Justin's cheek. Then, coming back to his ear in a moment. With three words to say.

And three alone.

"You already are."
