Today in World History we were talking about Ancient Roman Empire. And let me just tell you, I HATE history, it's soooooo boring but this caught my attention. So my teacher was talking about the Early Republic and they actually had Kings before having a republic. There was this one king who was a harsh tyrant. The wealthy then over threw him, and vowed that they'll never be ruled by a king again. Can you guys guess what the name of this king was?? TARQUIN!!! Tarquin The Proud (that's his title) was the last king of Rome. Because of Tarquin Rome Made itself a republic.
When my teacher said this my ears instantly perked up. I looked to the board and there it was "Tarquin The Proud" and in my head I was like whatin the world My bestest fangirl friend and my Parabooktai- Abby, she is in my class. She sits kinda behind me.

That's my amazing drawing of my setup of where our desks are. So when my teacher said that, I looked back at her and she was writing down the notes, so I turned back around. A second later I turned back around and we like made eye contact and we just like stared at eachother and then smiled. We both knew what eachother were thinking. This has happened so many times though it's funny. But it's ironic how Tarquin that we know is nothing like this. The Summer Court is always neutral in any conflicts up until Amarantha. But this Tarquin was cruel and everything. I don't even know if SJM did this on purpose but it was just a connection to history, SJM loves to include history in her books.

When we were talking about Ancient Greece there were like people who were named the Dorians who invaded Crete. The same thing happened then.
Another time was actually today too when I don't even know what my teacher was talking about but she then said, "they are being more dramatic and it was as sexy as it is shown." And people were like what, but I looked at Abby and we both mouthed "steamy". I couldn't laugh because the teacher was standing right in front of me but it was really funny.
There's also these two boys who sit behind me and so when I'm talking to Abby in the beginning do class or when we can talk they just listen to our conversations, and it's superrrr weird. But it's funny cuz we're like debating about who would we want to be a fae or shapeshifter. I was saying a fae cuz then I could have fire powers and like burn everyone I don't like to a crisp. And the looks on their faces were priceless! But they still listen into our conversations, so they would be on my Burning To a Crisp List.
Well that was all I just thought that connection was cool and everything!
