ACOTAR and ToG Talk

Modern AU

Ok I cannot deny that I read fanfiction I don't think any of us can. And I cannot dent either that some of it has some fluff in it but the ones I usually read are one shots and everything.

So I really like the modern AU ones about ACOTAR. They are all kinda the same tho with them usually being in college and Tamlin being an abusive boyfriend and an alcoholic and everything. They're all really good.

I did read one that was good but also like eh, so the sorority houses were the courts and I thought was nice. But the problem was that it went through like all the books and it was like exactly the same but in college. I like it when it's close to the book but it's supposed to be the writers imagination too which they sued but like even the challenger were very similar. I'm not saying I hated it but there were things that could be changed. And usually the ones I read start in ACOMAF and not ACOTAR so like this is the first one that started in ACOTAR.

The thing that I love that's in all of them is that Tamlin is an alcoholic and abusive to her which is totally true but I never even thought about it that way till reading them.

I just wanted to share my experience about these modern AUs for the future for you guys.

Haha so in art today we had to go around school collecting recyclable items so we can draw them (no idea why it was gross). So while drawing I was talking to my two friends and one of them is trying to make me watch this movie and I was like no. So he asked if I liked Harry Potter and I was like ewwww no. (Sorry for all you potterheads but I feel like it's so overrated and generic) and he was like oh, well what about the book that you always talk about isn't that generic?? And I went off on him.
I said..
"Uhhhh no Throne of Glass is sooo not generic at all. It's about an assassin."
And he was like sureeeeee
So I explained to him what it was about and he was like "it sounds like the whole first season of Game of Thrones" (he's obsessed with that show) I said back "it is not like Game of Thrones trust me"
He asked who the author was so he can look it up and I told him and he read about SJM and he had the audacity to say "she seems like trash"
I LITERALLY BLEW UP ON HIM
LIKE NO JOKE HE DID NOT SPEAK FOR THE REST OF CLASS AFTER I BLEW UP ON HIM NOT EVEN A SINGLE PEEP OUT OF HIM!!!!😡
I got so mad!

Ok another story to tell. So like I was saying about how I had to make new costumes for Ariel and Flounder well I presented today and afterwards one of my friends asked me if Flounder was gay and I was like "YESSSSSS" I didn't even think about it but I can see it. And I told her "he's going to date Sebastian!" And she asked if so could draw Sebastian today so she can make fanart about them and omg guys I made a new ship.

So I drew him and he looks amazing. He has no face because I'm horrible at faces but my friend can draw really good. When she finished with the fanart I'll show you guys.

Guys I'm literally freaking out about this, this needs to happen.
