After the wedding she knew she had to leave, to move on. But how?
It was hard to move on when the the love of your life decides to get married with someone else without even telling you, right?

The next few days she avoids any type of contact with anyone who knew Spencer. She didn't want to pretend to be happy or answer stupid questions of 'why didn't you come to the wedding?' or something like that.

Cause they didn't know, they didn't know anything that happened between the two of them. And it was better that way.

She spends two weeks drinking away her feelings on the privacy of her home, or at least trying to, until one  night she realizes she's wasting her time moping around on a Saturday.

She decides to go out, have some fun, meet new people, anything to help distract her of the pain she's feeling.

She quickly regrets it, as she sees the guy she didn't want to see in the same club as hers. She tries to avoid being seen but he spots her right away, getting up and walking towards her.

"(Y/N)..." he says, watching her face.

She sighs. "Hey, Derek"

There's a long silence until he speaks up again. "How have you been?"

She knows what he means, he's, after all, the only one who always knew about her feelings for Spencer. But she hates the look he's giving her, like she's fucking broken.

But she also knew he wouldn't let her go unless they talked. "I need a drink," she sighed "to sober for this shit" she walked to the bar.

Derek has always been her favorite, always being there for her and never judging her or what she did unless it could affect her.

After a few shots she was ready to talk. "Have you seen him?" Derek asked her.

She snorted. "Yeah, take fucking lunch everyday, talk about his new family and shit" she looked down at her drink. "I'm sorry i just..."

"I know" he puts her hand on hers and squeezes. "come on, talk to me"

She sat silent for a minute, unsure of how to start. "It just sucks, y'know? he just...he didn't care about me, about us." she let out a light laugh. "if it ever was an us"

Her lip trembled, eyes getting watery. She quickly rubbed her eyes, not wanting be one of those girls who cried over a heartbreak.

"I don't get it. He loved me, i know he did." her voice broke, "i knew what he felt with me, you can't fake that"

"oh, baby" Derek hugged her, his heart hurt for her. Out of everyone he knew, she was the one who deserved to be truly happy. She had it rough for most of her life but she was always so strong, so inspiring.

They leave the bar and Derek walks her home, giving her one final hug when they approached her door.

"Are you gonna be okay?" he said, letting go of her.

She nodded. "i'll be fine".

She wants to believe that. Spencer didn't love her anymore, hell, she wasn't sure if he even loved her at all. Now was time she moved on too.
