Spencer was in love. From the moment his eyes looked at the bartender in front of him, he knew he was gone. God, she was beautiful. From her gorgeous eyes to her cute, kind smile.
Everything in her was perfect, he could watch her all day.

He was glad Penelope had dragged him here, this was just what he needed. The last case was a mess, a bloody, sad mess.
But boy was he glad to be here. He quickly drowned his beer and held his hand up to signal the bartender.
She places another beer in front of him and Spencer reads the tag in her shirt. (Y/N). He loved it. but then again Spencer would've loved it if it was Petunia.

"Thank you, (Y/N)."

"You're welcome" She smiles widely at him and he's off again.

Spencer sighs. He wants her so bad, it's ridiculous. It's been a year since his last relationship, and he missed it. Coming home to someone after a bad day. The feeling of loving someone and they loving you back.

But he knows it wasn't the best time to chat her up, seeing how full the bar was.

He sighs, pulling a few bills out of his wallet and leaves.

The next few days Spencer can't go to the bar due to a new case on California and he's dying. He can't seem to get (Y/N) out of her head, and when they finally get back, he doesn't waste any more time and goes straight to the bar.

(Y/N) sighs, and lights up her cigarette taking a long drag before looking up at the sky.
She's annoyed, and tired. When she first started working there, she'd shown everyone that she didn't take shit from anybody, pulling up her tough aura.
But after she offered to take care of Diana's son while she went to meet her now ex-husband, the kid had told her mom that he loved (Y/N) and asked to hang out with her again.
(Y/N) was hesitant at first, but the kid was actually really sweet and she couldn't say no to that face even if she wanted to, so she agreed. And just like that, her badass mask had fallen off and her coworkers thought it was okay to tease her like they were fucking life friends.

She heard the door behind her open and the annoying voice of Diana rang through her ears.

"Hey, pretty face." she squealed making (Y/N) grunt. "There's a boy out there that has been asking for you"

(Y/N) ignored the tease in her voice, too curious to know who the fuck was asking for her.

"a boy...who?" she raised her eyebrows

"oh, a really cute one" she teased. "i didn't know you were into boys after all the rejections of setting you up, but i get it now"

(Y/N) gave her the finger, walking back inside.
The bar was pretty empty that day, only the regulars were there that early.

She spotted a man sitting in one of the stools, looking nervously around until their eyes met. (Y/N) walked over.

"what can i get for ya, man?"

He hesitated for a bit before clearing his throat.

"I'm Spencer. Do you..do you remember me?" he asked, looking down as a blush creeped up his cheeks.

She looks up, trying to remember, but then shakes her head."nah, man. can't. too many people come in here" she smiles apologetically at him.

Spencer's shoulders slump in disappointment and nods. "cold beer, please"

"coming right up"

She turns around and takes a beer out of the freezer, wiping it down and setting it down in front of Spencer. "Enjoy"

"Thanks. so um..have you worked here for long?"

She shrugs. "Not too long, but yeah"

Spencer think about something else to ask but a group come in catching (Y/N)'s attention and she leaves.

Spencer takes a big gulp of his beer. Dammit. He need her to see him, really see him. But he's never been the flirting type and he has no idea how to get her to like him.

She comes back after a few minutes. "sorry about that. want another one?" Spencer nods and (Y/N) opens another beer for him.

"Thanks" he shifts in his seat, trying to figure out if she has a boyfriend or not. "so, your boyfriend doesn't mind you being a bartender? i've heard that most partners feel threatened by bar tending jobs" he explains once he sees her confused expression.

"well that's stupid, people will cheat if they want to. no matter what their job is." she says.

Spencer nods. "Do you get hit on a lot?"

"kinda, yeah."

She doesn't really give Spencer anything he wants to know, so he just drinks his beer, enjoying the smiles and the small talk she gives him. It didn't matter, he could sit there all day if that meant that he could see that beautiful smile.

Yeah, she's gonna be the death of him. or his liver at least.
