Entai stared at Alibaba in horror. "Curse you..." His fangs grew longer and even more manacing. "I'm going to smash you to pieces!"
Rashil clutched her stomach. "Mi, do you think you could work a little healing magic on me? I think when demon boy smashed me down, he messed some of my innards up."
Mikha gasped. "What?" She whipped around frantically. She placed her hands on her sister's stomach. "Yeah, they're pretty messed up, all right." Her voice was coated with worry. She instructed the Rukh to swarm around her sister, slowly beginning to heal her. She looked up at their djinn friend. "Xander?"
He nodded, already predicting what she would ask. "I'll bring the mistress to safety, and I'll make sure she doesn't try to jump into the fight."
Mikha breathed out a relieved sigh. "Thank you."
Rashil pouted. "No fair... I wanna fight, too."
"It's all right, mistress," Xander comforted, giving her forehead a lick. "Let yourself heal and let your magoi replenish fully first, and then you can go back to kicking everyone's butt!" With that, he jumped her back up to the balcony, cradling her carefully.
Mikha stood up with a determined huff. She went to Alibaba's side, her arms stiff in an attempt to keep them from shaking.
"Mikha?" Alibaba said.
The magician looked at him, the conviction in her brown eyes saying enough. "I'll fight with you."
He smiled at her. "Thanks."
Entai roared, rearing up on his hind legs. When he landed back down, he charged towards them.
Mikha shivered. "Eek! He's scary!" She looked to her friend. "Alibaba, do you want to try again? Converge the flames to your sword."
Sweat dripped down Alibaba's brow. "Can I be honest with you?"
Mikha risked a sideways glance at the quickly approaching beast. "Sure, but make it quick."
"I have no idea what converge means."
There was a split second where the only sound heard was Entai's heavy footsteps.
"...oh. Well, okay. Do whatever works for you?"
Alibaba nodded. "Yeah, okay."
'Did he just say what I think he just said?' Rashil thought.
Mikha tittered. 'Ha ha... That he doesn't know what converge means? Yes. Yes, he did,' she thought back.
'Idgit.'
"Djinn equip!" yelled Alibaba. Mikha gasped as flames surrounded them. They were so hot. Hotter than they had ever felt before. As if, if she were to move she would surely be swallowed up by them. "Since I don't know what converge means, I have to do what works for me, right?"
Mikha raised an eyebrow. "Alibaba?"
"Then I will become the flames!" Just before Entai brought his massive trunk down on them, Alibaba jumped up, Mikha close behind.
She took a guess at what he was doing and put a Borg around them.
They both jumped straight towards the beast. They sailed through the air. Alibaba raised his sword over his head with a battle cry. He could smell Entai's breath. And he swung down, straight through the monster, cutting him clean in half.
Both Xander's and Rashil's jaws dropped.
Rashil had her neck craned in a funny position since Xander was still holding her. "HOLY CHEESE, HE ACTUALLY DID IT."
