Chapter 35

"Please believe me. I wouldn't lie to you Angel."
There he goes again, lying and trying to act cute by calling me Angel. I try and move to the side of him, instead of my plan working Jonah wraps his arms around my upper waist and picks me up in a large hug. He becomes quieter.
"Please believe me, Angel."
I didn't know what to do in this situation, this was all too new for me. I said a sarcastic comment, like any other person if they were in this situation.
"It's funny how you call me Angel, even though you guys are demons."
Then my thoughts interrupted immediately,
"Wait!"
I yelled, Jonah a bit shocked from my yell. He had put me down from the hug and let me finished.
"Does that mean, your going to kill me!"
Jonah had a expression of 'no' and 'your the crazy one here'. But surely, he was the real crazy one for wanting to kill me!
"We don't want to kill you, Angel! We're trying to protect you."
I didn't even think, I just blurted out;
"Protect me! Protect me from what?"
Jonah was frustrated with me, I could tell because he had pinched the bridge of his nose and sighed.
"It's hard to explain, but just know, I'm here to protect you."
Should I even trust him? He tried attacking me! Did I even have a choice, I was stuck here. I wanted to break down and cry. That's what I did, I started to sob I closed my eyes and cried. I received a hug from Jonah, his head was resting on the top of my head. He rubbed my back; trying to help me through my break down.
