"Far from that?"
I repeated back to Zach. Their voices we're something difference, I have never heard anything like it.
"You guys are angelic! On my way to heaven sing me exactly that!"
They all chuckle, were they not convinced they were not good singers? Well, they were wrong, their singing was amazing.
"Thanks, but we're not angelic."
Jonah replies back putting tone on the word angelic. We were not going anywhere with this conversation, they were amazing singers and I know that even if they don't. I started to get lost in thought by looking at the bright moon gleaming outside their house. It was early in the morning that I was awaken by their singing, it was still dark outside; but a sliver of moonlight seeped through the windows. The room was furnished with the moon's light, only enough to navigate to each of the boys different facial features. Outside, however, was dark; the sun had been covered by Gods hands. Creating darkness only freckled with stars. There was only one star God wanted to hide from his children on earth, the morning star himself. He was being hidden, his sins too sinful; for God could not forgive sinners. I decided I had woken up to early for my liking, I walked over to the couch and lied down on the soft, foamy mattress. It felt like a cloud, my apartment never had nice furniture as cloudy as this one. I start to drift off to sleep, trying to dream tonight was my one priority this early morning. I closed my eyes, I knew that if I did dream, I would never know I even did. What happens to a dream deferred? Do they rot slowly? Do they dry up, like a raisin in the sun? Where do they go, are they kept safely in our mind; only hiding from the ones who try and take them away?
