After Jonah walked out of the room, I tried my best to not break down and cry once again. There were too many things going on in my mind. I should be careful with who I trust in this house, because the devil was once a angel. After that thought I quickly walked downstairs not prepared on what was about to happen. I heard yelling, not yells of fear, but yells of anger and distemper. I walked closer down the steps to see the boys gathered around Aspen and Jonah. Aspen was the one making all the noise, she was yelling at Jonah pointing fingers at him. Cursing loudly. The rest of the boys were watching inventively, trying to stop it or trying to join in; I could not tell. Aspen, of course, had to turn around at that exact moment and make eye contact with me.
"You!"
She screamed with fury, she pointed her finger at me signaling for me to come down the stairs. Of course, I did what she said. I walked down the stairs closer to her.
"What do you know!"
I had no idea what she was talking about until it clicked, what Jonah told me was the truth. Now I know why Jonah didn't want to tell me. I look over Aspen's shoulder to the tall boy, I was looking for any help I can get. I didn't know what to do. I was frightened by her. She grabbed my face and moved it to the left, so I was now staring at her.
"I'm not going to say it again, what do you know!"
Did I answer her truthfully or do I lie? I did not know what to do, I stood there in silence, I was not moving one inch. She pushes me back using two hands, I stumble back but I don't fall.
"Trying to steal my boys, and now this? You think you will really get away with this?"
I was confused, yet shocked. I had no idea what she meant by that. Her boys? I thought. Was she their leader or something? I tried to sound as confident as I can be in my statement. It still sounded as if I was uneasy.
"I have no idea what your talking about."
