Ariel- even with her fascination of human things- did not enjoy cars. Or as she had recently named them 'Mermaid death makers' and was almost carried into the car. Although the family did find her antics funny they had to leave before the towns people found them. So, after 10 minutes Ariel was in the car, enjoying the ride to their new home. Or as Ariel referred to it Settlement.
When they finally arrived Ariel started sweating, a lot. She didn't know what was happening. They got inside the house and Ariel started feeling so sick, she had been out of the water for 4 days. Those 4 days were the best of her entire life, she had so much fun. But, she's a mermaid.
She needed water, and I don't think this had really dawned on anyone. Until Edward noticed the colour draining from her face, her skin began to get scally, well her legs. He started to realise. "Ariel?! Are you okay?" All of a sudden Ariel began to fall, but luckily Edward caught her in time.
