y/n had been assigned a tutor for her English and had been told they were waiting in a classroom. y/n found the room and walked in, Betty looked up and the breath got caught in y/n's throat

"oh hi! are you y/n?" Betty asked in a chipper voice. all y/n could do was nod and stare, wide eyed. betty nodded slowly and looked back down at her work.
for the next minute y/n stood motionless, not knowing what to do. betty looked up again. "y/n, you know you can sit down... right?" y/n blinked twice and nodded rapidly.
y/n pulled out a chair which made a horrible screeching noise, cringing as she sat on it. betty gave her an awkward smile and looked at y/n's bag. "any work? homework?" y/n nodded again and pull out three sheets of paper with her English homework on.
betty grinned pulled the sheets toward her, brushing y/n's hand as she did so. y/n experienced shivers but shook her head and pulled her jacket closer.
"okay" Betty started catching y/n's attention. "basically all you do is..."
y/n wasn't taking much notice to what betty was saying, instead she was admiring her beauty. y/n had never dated and had never really had crushes, but something about Betty made her heart skip a beat.
the words "you're really pretty" slipped out of y/n's mouth, cutting of betty and making them both gasp. y/n slapped her hand to her mouth and squeezed shut her eyes. "oh my god im sorry i shouldn't have said that. it was totally disrespectful of me to interrup-"
"y/n it's okay." Betty assured with a sweet chuckle. "i think it's cute you find me pretty." she admitted making y/n's eyes widen.
"oh, well, that's- it's good you didn't freak." y/n said, betty smiled and went back to looking at the sheet.
"hey do you wanna go to Pop's after this?" betty asked. straight away, y/n nodded. "great. for now let's get back to your English homework." y/n genuinely smiled and looked at the sheet.
she had a feeling that these tutoring sessions weren't gonna be so bad...

hi loves, no im still alive, i am not rotting in a pit somewhere lol. i know im a terrible person like i feel horrible for basically abandoning this book but I decided today I'd try to make a comeback with regular updates and what not. i hope you enjoyed this! i love y'all
