"I'm an asshole and I'm so sorry for treating you guys like shit. You don't have to accept it but I wanted you to hear my apology. I shouldn't have said those things to you & I'm sorry."

Camila stood in front of her two best friends who she hadn't spoken to in over a week. She missed the girls like crazy and knew that an apology was way past due. The girls didn't budge after Camila's apology and the brunette figured they were still upset with her.

"That's all I had to say.. so I guess I'll just leave now." Camila turned on her heels and began to walk in the opposite direction.

"Wait!" Normani called out. Camila turned slowly around and made her way back towards the girls. "You know, that was a shitty thing you said."

"I know and I wish I could take it back. I'm sorry."

Both Normani and Dinah shared a look with each other debating whether they should except the girl's apology or not. It took Camila by surprise when both girls threw their arms around her, engulfing her in a hug.

"Took you long enough.." Dinah smiled. "We were wondering how long it would take you to come apologize. You lasted longer than I thought."

"By the way Dinah you have to do whatever I say for a week now." Normani grinned.

"wait.. you guys bet on me?"

"Yeah.. Dinah thought you'd only last a couple of days with those idiots but I knew you better than that.". Normani said triumphantly. They all started walking down a dirt path as they watched the people around them simply enjoying their day. Camila started to remember the details of the night a while back and her heart began to race because of it.

"Where are those misfits anyway?" Dinah asked.

"They're all dead."

"What?!"

"Ha ha very funny." Normani rolled her eyes.

"I'm not joking."

They stopped walking to get a better look at the brunettes face. Normani could see that the girl had no amusing look and that she was serious. She wasn't kidding.

"What do you mean they're all dead." the dark-skinned girl asked.

"Dwellers.. they.. it changed them."

"Mila you're not making any sense."

"Two days ago we went outside the barrier to-"

"What the hell?! You went outside of the barrier!" Dinah yelled in a whispered tone.

"Yeah, i did. But that's not the point. The point is that when we went to the lake something.. Dwellers were there. About 50 of them. They didn't see me because I hid before they got the chance too but they did something to them. They changed them."

"What do you mean change?" Normani asked.

"They made them Dwellers."

"Okay, Mila I am officially freaked out. Have you told Lauren about this?" Normani frowned curiously.

"They were looking for her."

"Who was?"

"The dweller.... Her parents."

"Alright alright. This is way too much for me to process. So you mean to tell me that you got attack by dwellers but escaped unharmed & your delinquent friends were transformed into killing machines by Lauren's parents?" Dinah spoke up.

Camila nodded confirming her question and it caused a wave a fear to shoot through both of the girls. How was that possible? How could they turn regular people into dwellers?

"How do you even know that's her parents."

"Before they.. changed them. They had asked, very roughly, If anyone had seen their daughter Lauren. They're looking for her." Camila warned.

"Hold up wait a second... did they tell them where she was?" Normani asked and Camila nodded slowly once again to confirm the question. Dinah's eyes widened in panicked. and Normani swallowed a huge lump in her throat.

"Oh fuck!" Dinah cursed. "Wait but that was two days ago, why haven't they came to look for her here?"

"I don't know. But they want her & I'm not letting them take her away from me."

"Mila listen, I know you love Lauren but think about everyone else's safety here." Normani tried explaining. "There are almost 300 people on this base. Are you willing to put everyone's life in danger?"

Camila knew it was stupid to risk the lives of innocent people. She also knew that Lauren could handle herself in this situation. The green-eyed girl never talked about her parents and until now Camila was never curious as to why?

Loud crashes came from the distance and the girls whipped their heads in that direction.

"What the hell was that?"

Everyone came running towards them screaming and yelling. They ran past them and the girls looked around frantically trying to figure out what was wrong. Dinah caught Max and Liam and stopped them before they could run pass.

"What's going on?" she asked

"Dwellers.. and big ones!!" Max panted with wide-eyes. They were both out of breath from running.

"They broke into the east side of the base." Liam spoke up.

"My family's over there!" Normani panicked.

"They're looking for Lauren."

Liam said directly at Camila. Everyone looked towards the brunette for answers.

"What are we gonna do?" Dinah asked. They stood there unsure of what to do but Camila had an idea. She wasn't sure that it was going to work but she needed to try anything at this point.

"Time to get the gang back together." she spoke up.

"The Scooby gang is back!" the little one said. They all nodded and knew exactly who they'd go to first for help. They started making their way to their next locations leaving Normani behind confused.

"Did I miss something?" she shouted before Dinah yelled at her to catch up. "What the hell is a Scooby gang." she whispered to herself before catching up with the others.
