Chapter 13 - Steed. Enjoy!

Aria lay on the sofa, mind whirling and emotions thick. Loki had left maybe an hour ago, could have been seconds and it would still feel like days.

He had used magic to hold the curtains down. As in, unmovable. Loki had ended their conversation by telling her this was her first 'official' punishment, no sunlight.

She scoffed to herself thinking back on it, how she had just sat there silently letting him berate and own her, but she knew that these quarters were shut down tightly. There was no way she could get out of here in the state it was in. So her options were either wait until he removed the enchantment on the curtains and try escaping then. Or risk waiting longer, risk waiting for him to let her leave the quarters, or for him to leave her for a while. But risk him not raping her before then.

How was she supposed to avoid her own rape in the confines of the 4 rooms she was allowed in?

There was no lock on the bathroom or dressing room, and even if there was, there were no windows, so all she would achieve is angering him. Aria felt helpless. He could decide at any moment she had 'adjusted' enough and renew his torment of her, and she would be weaponless and trapped.

She cried out in anger, grabbing one of the books from the worktop and hauling it across the room, listening to them thump to the ground with muted satisfaction, followed closely by the second one.

This was not the life she and Tony had planned, this wasn't the life her father had died for. This wasn't any kind of life. But it was hers, for how long though? Would he keep her here forever, or would he grow bored with her? Maybe he had already planned an end for her, yet linking their lives seemed so permanent? Another punishment could be a seemingly never ending torment of her, just to ditch her when she finally came to depend on him. She knew of Stockholm Syndrome, she knew that, logically, she would one day become reliant on him. Aria couldn't let herself get that far. He had the power, magic and insanity to force her physically, but her emotions she would keep her own.

She had been told not to leave this room, stuck in the bedroom with no natural light, emerald staining her soul as the colour suffocated her.

Aria had no idea how long she had actually been here, the crash had been violent and chaotic, she could have been out days. Tony had been released, if only to further his torment, but Loki had no idea how close SHIELD had come to defeating him. Hopefully with Tony out, they could finish it and come save her. Aria still had no idea what had happened to Pepper or the agents who should have found them crashed.

But this dependant attitude couldn't be her only plan, Aria Green was not going to let herself fall into damsel in distress mode. Yet that just stemmed more issues, such as what was the plan? Curtains or patience?

Aria not instantly trying to escape upon opportunity arising would look suspicious. Loki was intelligent, impressively so, which meant he would see right through her playing him to get more freedom, to get more chance of escape.

Taking her rage out on the now upright candelabra resulted in it following the books onto the floor, followed by a frustrated scream from Aria as her situation continued to dawn on her.

A door slamming shut is what eventually woke Aria up from her collapsed position on the floor, her head resting on a cushion as the corner of a book jabbed into her back. Glancing around the room, she groaned at the mess she had managed to make. Cushions, books and ornaments littered the floor, as if a tornado had swept through. She wished it had taken her with it.

"Tut tut," mocked her from across the room. It was as if he couldn't enter anywhere without over-dramatically presenting himself in a door frame.

Autopilot jerked her into defensive mode, Aria crouching, ready to fly away from this monster, as Loki moved further into the room, her eyes trained on his form.
