Anime: Attack On Titan
AU- Singer Levi, Deaf Eren, Café
Pairing: Ereri/Riren whatever, I don't care what you take it as, why is there more than one ship name??

Maybe it wasn't the food or the decor that kept drawing him back to a café down the street from his apartment called, "Hole in the Wall," kind of a deal breaking name if you asked him.
Maybe it wasn't that a good friend of his, Sasha Brauss owned the café, maybe it was the handsome singer who got up on stage every Friday night, Levi Ackerman.

Eren Jaeger was positively head over heels for a man he had never had a conversation with but, boy, this man was a piece of art. Dark raven locks, cut into an undercut with bangs that fell over his opal skin, steely-blue eyes that shot you with a piercing gaze, he may be on the shorter side but, goodness is he a work of art.

There was one problem with Levi being a singer though, or a person who could talk at all, Eren was deaf. He had accepted the fact long ago that he would never hear what he imagined Levi's, smooth, deep voice to be.

Eren walked down the quiet street to the cafe, his sister in tow. "Mikasa, I told you I would be fine on my own," Eren signed to Mikasa. "I didn't want you possibly getting hurt," Mikasa, Eren's adoptive sister signed back. "Jesus, I'm deaf, not blind," Eren joked, he knew being in public and deaf was pretty dangerous if something caught your eye. Mikasa giggled at him before stoping in front of the café, on a warm September, Friday evening.

Eren entered on his own, waving to Connie Springer, Sasha's boyfriend, who was working the front tonight. He found a table close to the center of the small stage in the back of the café before Sasha found him. "Here to see Levi again?" Sasha signed to him. "When am I not?" Eren asked. "Good point, do you want anything?" Sasha asked. "Not right now, thanks though," Eren signed back his answer.

Eren was pretty good at reading lips so, people could talk out loud to him if they wanted to but, Eren preferred to use sign language so it didn't look like he was having a one sided conversation with the person next to him.

Almost thirty minutes later more people flowed into the café and Levi stepped on stage. "Hey everyone, I've got two covers for you tonight," Levi said into the microphone. "So, let's get started," Levi pulled his acoustic guitar around to the front of his body and began to sing.

"Have you ever stood out in the rain,
Watched love grow cold and roll away,
And in your heart feel the weight that things will never change,
You're not alone"

The Hawk in Paris seemed to be a favorite of Levi's. Indie bands were always considered "hipster" but, Levi didn't look the part. He wore dark jeans and a navy button up, while on stage for the most part, sometimes he'd come in looking a bit edgy.

"So curse the love song playing on the radio station,
Curse the love song playing on the radio station,
Have you thought you'd never breath again,
Did the truth make a killer out of a friend,
And your heart feel the weight that things will never change," Levi sang, his voice smooth like velvet.

Sometimes Eren would drag Sasha way to sign the lyrics for him or he would drag Mikasa inside to do the same. Eren once mentioned how Mikasa and Levi shared last names but, Mikasa swore up and down that she had never seen Levi until the first night Eren dragged her a long.

"You're not alone,
So curse the love song playing on the radio station,
Curse the love song playing on the radio station,
Does the night, the night go on and on,
It doesn't matter if you're awake 'cause you're going to sleep away the day,"

The first song soon stopped with Levi taking a small break from the stage. In those few moments Levi had entered to Eren's right. Eren didn't even know he was there, so he continued tapping on his phone. "Hey bright eyes," Levi spoke up, trying to act smooth. Eren went on scrolling.

Across the café Sasha could see the event unfolding so she quickly stepped in. "He can't hear you," Sasha said as she approached Levi. "Oh god, well at least he can't hear me trying to be smooth," Levi said without shame. Sasha tapped on Eren's shoulder and Eren jumped out of his skin. Levi Ackerman, there he was in the flesh. "He wants to talk to you, want me to translate?" Sasha signed to Eren. "If you will please and I would love to talk to him," Eren signed back.

"He says you have really pretty eyes," Sasha signed to Eren after their brief conversation had ended with Levi. A bright red dusted Eren's cheeks and nose as he saw what Sasha signed. "I'll be sure to tell him thank you," Eren signed back before Sasha went back to work.

That was the routine every Friday night, Eren began bringing a journal so him and Levi could talk back and forth. Levi had once said that he would try to learn sign language but, he probably didn't have the patience. He even introduced Mikasa to Levi one Friday night in February before Valentine's Day. "I think he's alright," Mikasa signed to him after they met.

The next Friday was Valentine's Day. Levi had asked him to go home with him that night. Eren's heart was beating out of his chest as he accepted the invitation. He shot Mikasa a text saying "I'm going home with Levi, yes I'll be responsible, don't worry about me," and Mikasa replied with "Be sure to use protection!" Of course she would say that.

The ride to Levi's apartment in his black pick up truck was quiet but, once inside the house Eren could only notice that fact that it was spotless, not a speck of dust anywhere. Then out of no where bounded a little dog. Eren quickly grabbed his journal and wrote "Levi! You didn't tell me you had a dog!"

Levi scooped up the corgi and pet its head before putting it down and writing, "Well I do, his name is Charlie." "This is a Harry Potter reference, isn't it?" "Yes, he is named after one of my favorite Weasley's, fight me." "You dork," Eren replied and Levi softly smiled at him.

The two had gotten take out on the way home, they ate and Levi wrote "We don't have to do anything tonight, we'll do what you're comfortable with," holding Eren's hand across the table. "Thanks for reassuring me and all I really want to do is cuddle," Eren answered. The two soon moved to the bed, after changing into sweat pants and tank tops, courtesy of Levi.

Levi wanted to show Eren what sign langue he had learned so, he pointed to himself and spelled out L-E-V-I, then pointed to the twenty year old man sitting in front of him, E-R-E-N, he spelled. Eren giggled at him and nodded before signaling that he wanted to cuddle.

Their position was awkward but, it worked. Levi played the role of big spoon despite his small height that had built up over twenty two year and more petite figure and Eren as the little spoon.

Levi moved his neck to kiss Eren's cheek before moving back over. The pair silently thought as one listed to the crickets chirping outside of his window, "No more cursing the love song playing on the radio station."

I HAD TO GIVE IT A CHEESY ENDING OK!? I really enjoyed this one as well and have been wanting to do it for a while. I knew I could have done some angst but, I have enough angst in my life and I like fluff. So here, fluff for the Ereri soul.
