Burn Baby Burn

Anime: My Hero Academia
Pairing: Hotwings (AKA Dabi (Touya Todoroki (Come on we all know it)) x Hawks (Keigo Takami)

I have been on a Hotwings roll lately, so I decided to write this. Some details in this might be off and the timeline might seem weird in the actual story, but just read and have fun, please, and thank you.

"I could burn you."
"You won't"
"Oh, I won't?"
"You know you won't, you like me a little too much for that."
"Sadly you're right little birdie."

Keigo was thankful they had made the trip to his upscale apartment rather than the claustrophobic dinge of The League's latest hideout. He was also thankful Dabi, his mind cringed at that name, was light, despite his towering stature.
They had had the "I could burn you" conversation countless times, it was the same every time, but, it reassured Dabi that he wouldn't hurt Keigo.

They lay in Keigo's plush bed, pillows squishing under Dabi's midnight locks of hair. Keigo draped on his chest, laying on top of him, Dabi fiddling with and stroking the crest of his wings. Soft jazz scratched out on the record player (a birthday gift from Enji), the curtains were drawn, capturing the soft light of the room in their dark color. The wind fluttered the curtains softly from the open window where they had made their entrance, perks of having wings.

"Come home," Keigo spoke.
"What was that birdie?"
"Touya, come home."
In that instant Keigo was thrown from Dabi's chest, his wings fluffing up, a feather being called to his side as he crashed to the other side of the bed.
Dabi on the other hand had rushed away from the bed, his back against the wall, hands lighting up in a brilliant display of blue.

"How do you know that name?" Dabi roared.
"Touya you know it's me, the little boy with the wiry wings, the Academy, you know who I am. Deep down you know who you are too."
"Shut your mouth," Dabi demanded.
Keigo hesitantly sat up on the bed, the blue glory before him only burning stronger.
He began to crawl his away across the bed, the villain raising his hands, Keigo ignored him.
"Touya is gone, we both know that," Dabi growled.

Keigo kept coming closer, not letting up, standing from the bed, feeling the heat of the fire on his face. "I know he's still there," Keigo said, using two feathers to carefully weave through the flames and push away Dabi's arms, the fire weakening.

"I burned that part of me away! There's nothing to go back to!" The emotion rising in Dabi's voice, even as the fire fizzled away.

Keigo pushed closer, a hand placing in Dabi's burning hot chest, the other holding his chin down, golden avian eyes pouring into cerulean ones, racing like the ocean, blood beginning to trickle from those horribly burned tear ducts. The blue light disappeared from the room, the temperature drop shocked Keigo's body. Dabi collapsed, his chin hanging over Keigo's shoulder, his knees hitting the floor with a thud.

"I can't."
"What?"
"I can't go home."
"I can't go. There's nowhere to go. The League will hunt me wherever I go, you've seen how Shigaraki is. I can't go anywhere like this, I can't go anywhere when Touya is dead, and all that's left is Dabi."

Keigo came to rest on the floor, wrapping his crimson wings around the body resting in his arms. "We'll bring him back, Touya, we'll get you back, therapy, we'll get your scars healed, we'll do whatever we have to, we can get you back to your family."
"No."
"No?"
"Not my family, I can't face them, they've seen what I've done, they see the monster I've become, the entire world has."
"They'd forgive you, your family at least."
"How could they? I've killed, I've hurt people. What would Fuyumi think? She thinks I've been dead all these years, I left her with Natsuo and Shouto. Shouto, oh god, he was so young, and my father, my father destroyed him like he tried to do to the rest of us. He's seen me like this. What would he and Natsuo think? When I'm the very thing they set out to destroy." Dabi ranted, his hands sparking in anger at the mention of his father.
"Look at me," Keigo commanded. Dabi didn't budge.
"Touya, look at me." Then he shifted.
"We'll figure it all out. I promise."
