Aphmau was sitting on the couch cuddled up to Aaron. Aaron didnt say anything but Aphmau was unusually quiet.
Aaron gave a kiss on the top of her head and pulled her closer.
"What's on your mind?" He asked softly
Aphmau sighed "I . . . was thinking about the dream I had last night." She mumbled.
"What was it?" Aaron asked gently
"You were dead and I was on an island with a little baby I had adopted and there was an imp that looked just like you, And my heart . . I was so happy you were alive and then it shattered seeing it change back" Aphmau's eyes watered and she started crying softly.
Aaron shushed her giving her a soft kiss on the nose. He sighed pulling her against his chest and started stroking her hair.
"Babe . . . Even if I died and if coming back would be worse than if I stayed dead, I would still come back" Aaron said giving her a knowing look.
"Promise?" Aphmau asked with a tiny smile
Aaron laughed softly before nodding and giving her forehead a kiss "promise"
Aphmau then jumped as somebody knocked on the door.
"Aphmau its me can you let me in?" Lucinda asked sounding frantic.
"Sure come on in" Aphmau said confused.
Lucinda quickly walked in followed by Laurence who gave them a sad smile.
"Lucinda what happened?" Aphmau asked worriedly seeing the upset look in her eyes.
"W-we were attacked" Lucinda breathed
Immediately Aaron stood up his face turning dead serious. Aphmau looked up shocked by his sudden movement.
"Is it Shad?" He asked without skipping a beat.
Laurence shook his head. Aphmau stood up giving Lucinda a hug and the taller girl sniffed before mumbling a small 'thanks'.
Aaron and Aphmau settled back down on the couch and Lucinda and Laurence sat in two of the armchairs. Lucinda sighed rubbing her arms trying to calm herself down.
"We . . Came back from the library and my house had been wrecked, they left a message on the wall in black paint saying to, leave the past alone" Lucinda explained gently.
"And when she went into the kitchen to fix a cup of tea they attacked her." Laurence muttered his voice growing bitter.
"How did you get them off her?" Aphmau asked shocked.
"He . . . Uh . . His past selves shadow knight side decided to manifest" Lucinda mumbled.
"I burned him off of her" Laurence said matterfactly rolling his eyes.
"You mean you did it on purpose?" Lucinda asked whirling around to face him.
"No it was accidental I just didnt fight it" Laurence replied
