"Jeffory the golden heart?"
Lucinda spun around in shock a guilty look appearing on her face. Laurence stood wordlessly by the stairs with his arms folded. He gave Lucinda an angry look.
"Laurence . . . " Lucinda said softly her shoulders falling
Katelyn coughed awkwardly and Jeffory stuffed his hands in his pockets looking away. Laurence walked over next to Lucinda giving her another glare.
"Glad to know I was intentionally left out" He said folding his arms.
"Laurence that wasn't it . . " Lucinda sighed looking down.
"I had no idea" Katelyn added the awkwardness real this time. Laurence gave Lucinda another look and this time there was hurt behind the anger.
"Why would you keep this from me?" He asked looking at her.
"Because . . . I don't want you to get involved because I dont want you to get hurt" Lucinda mumbled.
"Lucinda you'll get hurt! Someone is going to get hurt and despite what you think I am fine!" Laurence argued back.
"How do I know that! Laurence . . . whatever this thing is . he . . He's up to something whatever he is he's powerful enough to challenge a witch of my caliber I don't want you to end up merging with your memories!" Lucinda argued back hotly. She gasped a hand covering her mouth and Laurence and Jeffory both gave her a sharp look.
"What was that?" Laurence asked stunned
"I . . I" Lucinda stammered lowering her hand looking from Jeffory to Laurence.
"You mean the person doing this has this amount of power?" Jeffory asked his voice a deeper tone and more serious
"What? What kind of power? What do you mean Jeffory?" Katelyn asked becoming worried her eyebrows furrowing as she looked between him and Lucinda
"i . . .this . . person might be powerful enough to bind your past lives to the present" Lucinda said giving Laurence a soft look.
"What does that mean?" Katelyn asked stepping forward and crossing her arms
"It means that any condition . . such as powers diseases or anything like that are able to come back and affect your present self" Jeffory sighed.
"So I could permanently become a shadow knight?" Asked Laurence his eyes going wide. Jeffory nodded silently and Katelyn gasped looking over at him.
"You never told me!?" She snapped smacking him in the arm. He winced rubbing his arm and shook his head.
"I didn't know they were that strong! I guess I don't have to remind you to not go all Jury of Nine now!" Jeffory said rolling his eyes huffing.
"Jury of nine? You remember everything don't you?" Laurence asked whipping around to face Katelyn.
"Yeah . . . . . I remembered when I was in college . . . I had no idea if anyone else remembered so I kept it to myself then all this happened okay? I found out one of us on Mystreet was the reason for all of this! I didn't want anyone to use me to hurt you guys" Katelyn explained giving Laurence a distraught look.
