"Lucinda . . . I have a question" Jeffory's voice spoke up, and Lucinda looked over briefly where his figure flickered every minute or so, glitching out of lack of concentration, " . . . . . this block on your powers . . . do you think there is a way to remove it?"
" . . I . . " Lucinda's voice trailed off in shock at the question, the fiery haired witch not expecting it. "I don't know . . . "
"That's right! There should be a way to stop it right? No spell is permanent, no potion could work permanently" Katelyn nodded, her eyes lighting up "Think Lucinda, there has to be something"
"I don't understand why it matters when I can get rid of it later . . . I should be focusing on helping Laurence before he gets killed" Lucinda muttered "It could take too long . . ."
"Something is better than nothing" Jeffory said gently shaking his head "Laurence will need all the help he can get if he runs into Gene"
"Then how do we find it? It could be anything . . .related to the spell on all of us, or linked through his memory magicks" Lucinda argued, folding her arms as she bit her lip looking down, making Katelyn frown
"Where is the girl who would fight fire with fire?"
Lucinda looked up at the harsh tone of Katelyn's voice, scarlet eyes widening as the older girl gave her a firm look staring back. Jeffory seemed shocked, but one quick study of Katelyn and he stepped back a smile twitching on the corner of his lips, as Lucinda struggled to find the words to respond.
"I . . Katelyn . . "
"Where is the girl who, instead of being hurt by this jerk, would fire up and take him down and show him why he shouldn't have ever hurt her?" Katelyn took a step forward, Lucinda instinctively stepping back in shock.
"I . .I-I don't know, Katelyn I can't . . . Laurence and him . . " Lucinda stammered, excuses falling out of her mouth as Katelyn shook her head giving her a hard look
"No. She's still in there and she's just cowering until everything is safe again, and that won't work without getting someone hurt" Katelyn huffed narrowing her eyes at her.
"I am not a coward!" Lucinda growled, the witch seeming to stand taller as she glared at Katelyn "I am not scared, I'm just trying to get to Laurence faster!"
"Then figure out what he did to to you and fix it" Katelyn challenged hotly not backing down "Because that's the best thing you could do right now, get your powers back"
"There isn't any way of figuring out what he did to me Katelyn, not in time!" Lucinda growled shaking her head.
"There has to be something"
It was like someone snapped a rubber band. Lucinda watched as she blinked and everything changed to a 16 year old her from the past in front of her.
"There has to be something we can do to prove I'm innocent!" She growled, staring desperately at where her father stood cold but calm.
"There isn't Lucinda. Your powers got someone hurt this time. I'm afraid there is no other choice then that of banishing you" He replied sighing She instantly froze, her eyes going wide with horror and fear
