Laurence huffed as he stopped putting his hands on his knees. He had been hiking and climbing for almost two hours close to reaching the top. Laurence took a few more steps up the trail before halting feeling a tugging sensation. He looked around before finally spotting a flash of whitish grey through the plants.

Laurence brushed through the last of the undergrowth making out worn and cracked stone steps under his feet. His gaze followed them where he looked up seeing the Irene statue.

He walked up taking a closer look smiling a bit. It was kinda interesting to see a thousand year old statue with his old crushes face on it. It was a faded grey with a few cracks running up the bottom but other than that the statue was in surprisingly good condition

He slowly put a hand on it feeling the energy trapped inside the stone. His eyes opened red bleeding through until they returned to their baby blue. He stepped back a disappointed frown on his face.

"Well" he sighed "Lucinda was right about the energy still being in the statue but its trapped permanently"

"Of course its trapped!" A gleeful voice said smiling.

Laurence's eyes narrowed and he growled spinning around as embers washed over transforming him. Red and black armor appeared along with a sword in his right hand that he held out warily.

Laurence then froze seeing the familiar face. "Vylad?"

Disbelief took over as he stared at the shorter boy who folded his arms and grinned a murderous look about him. Vylad chuckled the sound suddenly much deeper and Laurence felt something tug at his memories.

"Sorry little Laurence, but Vylad can't come out to play right now" He sang tilting his head "Your a hard man to get alone after all, I wanted it to be just me and you"

Laurence growled the sound gaining a deeper edge to it. Vylad laughed tilting his head back and shook his head. Looking back at him he chuckled with a smirk. Laurence studied him a few more seconds the laugh ringing in his head before he realized who it was.

"I see someone got out of timeout" Laurence said without skipping a beat giving him a hateful glare. Vylad snickered returning his hateful glare with a playful one.

"Oh yes I did! And I wake up to find all these wonderful toys just ready to play with!" He crowed making Laurence narrow his eyes

"We aren't toys" Laurence threatened taking a step forward but Vylad clicked his tongue backing up. A innocent smile formed on him and something about it made Laurence pause

"I wouldn't do that if I were you, after all that Meif'wa, The Ultima, The witch- you want them to get better right?" Vylad asked a deep twisted smile appearing on his face.

"What are you talking about!" Laurence snapped worry coming to life at the word witch. Instantly images of the first time he attacked came barreling into his thoughts.

"Exactly what I'm saying Laurence!" He suddenly exclaimed chuckling "That little witch was quivering when I left"

Laurence growled before taking a step forward raising his sword and gripping it with two hands. Vylad gave a laugh his sword  appearing in his hands. The two stood there warily waiting for the other to make a move.
