.:Skater Girl:. Part 8

When Kyle and I reached my house in his black Range Rover, we got out and I went to the backseat and un-strapped Isabella and took her into my arms.

We all walked into the house and I set Bells down on the floor and told her to go and play with her toys.

When I looked at the clock I saw that the time was 6:00 and there was still plenty of time before I had to go to sleep.

After making something to eat for all three of us, I heard the doorbell ring. I slightly frowned since I wasn’t expecting anyone and walked to the door.

I opened the door and found the last person I expected to see standing in front of me.

“Hey Kylie, I didn’t know you lived here.”

“Hey Allie, what are you doing here?”

Allie was standing in front of me in all her flaming red hair and emerald eyed glory.

“I just moved into this house and my mom told me to come over and meet the neighbors, I didn’t realize I was your new neighbor.”

I nodded my head slowly and we both stood there with an awful awkward silence until Isabella’s voice broke through the air as she grabbed onto my leg and screamed the last thing I wanted anyone to hear coming out of her mouth.

“Mommy!”

I closed my eyes, not wanting to see Allie’s face and see the shock and disappointment in her eyes so once I opened my eyes, I bent down and grabbed Isabella off the floor and held her in my arms.

I looked once at Allie’s face and what I saw wasn’t disappointment or anything remotely close. I saw… admiration with a hint of shock.

“Allie, why don’t you come in?”

She slightly nodded, still speechless and followed me into the house.

I led her into the kitchen and set Isabella down on the ground and directed her to her Barbie’s that lay nearby on the floor.

Allie settled into the couch and I sat across from her. I saw her slightly regain herself and she said with a hint of shock still clear on her face.

“How is this even possible?” I heard her whisper.

I sighed. “Prepare for quite a lengthy story,” I told her, and she just nodded.

Just as I was preparing to tell her the story, I heard the doorbell ring again and a few knocks on the door.

I groaned and started to stand but saw Kyle beat me to the door, so I settled in once again.

Once Kyle opened the door, I heard a couple guys laughing and then heard Austin’s voice call out.

“Izzy!”

Isabella hurriedly stood up from her dolls on the floor and ran over to Austin and Jake who were both squatting with their arms outstretched. When she ran into Jake’s first, Austin pretended to be offended but quickly got over it when she ran into their arms.

Allie looked a little confused at the scene but didn’t say a word. Once Jake and Austin spotted her, they both went a little berserk and Kyle, who hadn’t seen me open the door to her, was looking a little gobsmacked.

I motioned for them to come over and they didn’t hesitate. Jake and Austin sat on the floor playing with Bells while listening but Kyle came and sat beside me.

“Well Allie, I guess you deserve the full story since you’ve been so nice to me and haven’t disappointed me yet.”

She just nodded and sat patiently as I began my story.
