.:Skater Girl:. Part 12

After a very interesting afternoon with my daughter and four friends at the deserted skate park, we all headed back to the hotel because the sun was starting to set and we couldn’t stay out all night with an almost 3 year old child.

Once back in the hotel, we all made a beeline for the elevators and Kyle already had a drowsy Isabella in his arms. I smiled at the sight but it quickly replaced itself with a tiny frown when once again I began to think of the possibility of Kyle being her father.

Before I could go into depth about my thought, the elevator slightly dinged as we reached our floor and we made all filed out, going towards the last door on the hallways and entering our grand presidential suite.

I slightly yawned tiredly after pushing my muscles so hard today since I haven’t done anything remotely close to what I had done today on that half pipe.

Kyle went into our room and when he came back out he didn’t have Bells in his arms so I came to terms that she had already fallen asleep. Good because it was already 8 and we probably had a big day in store tomorrow.

Allie came out of her bedroom followed by Austin who we’re both empty handed seeing as they had also put their baby to bed, only difference is that theirs is a doll who doesn’t require as much as Isabella does.

Allie sat on the couch beside me, curling her legs under her, while Kyle sat on my other side, stretching his legs out.

Austin and Jake however, took a seat on the couch opposite of ours and before anyone had a chance to talk, Allie questioned all of us.

“How did you all become friends?”

I looked at the three guys sitting around me and couldn’t help but smile when I saw their thoughtful expressions.

“It all started in the 6th grade, if I’m not mistaken, right guys?” I initiated the story, looking around at the guys.

They all nodded and ushered me to continue.

“Anyways, I’ve already told you about my skating, so when I began middle school, that’s the year when all the girls begin to choose what clique they belong to and they start acting preppy and all that so when I began middle school I was possibly the only girl there who came on the first day with ripped up jeans, a baggy sweatshirt and riding a skateboard so I was quickly categorized as the tom-boy and obviously no girl would even dare to come close to me.

“The first day of school for me was utter torture since I didn’t really know anyone and all so when lunch time came, I sat at a table all alone and nobody even tried to make friends with me that Is until about half way through lunch I was picking at my food and I saw that someone had actually sat beside me and that’s when I met Kyle.”

I looked sideways and my gaze fixed on Kyle who continued on in his point of view, zoning in and out telling his side of the story.

“Since I was pretty athletic, even at the start of middle school, I was pretty quickly in the popular crowd at the high school but that first lunch I was sitting with a few friends from the 5th grade but I saw that there was a girl sitting alone by herself and even since then I’ve never been one to leave people out so I left all my friends and I went up to her and little did I know that she’d be such a fun person to be around.”

Kyle locked eyes with me and smiled at my dazed expression. We had never really talked about the day that we met before. Jake broke our eye contact when he began to talk.

“I missed the first day of school that year but on the second day I heard everyone talking about some new girl and when lunch time came around I quickly saw who she was since she was the only girl who looked completely out of place and sitting alone, well except Kyle of course since he decided to start sitting with her. I looked at them two and I even felt the whole schools eyes on my back when I walked over to them and sat at their table.”
