.:Skater Girl:. Part 16
After the incident with Greer in the hallway Kyle put his arm around me and we both headed back into the cafeteria where all of our friends were waiting for us.
“What happened?” Allie asked us.
As I was opening my mouth to speak, Kyle interrupted and spoke on behalf of both of us, “Greer decided to tell off Kylie, so I broke up with her.”
Austin and Jake both jumped on the table in a blink of an eye and began to holler. My mouth dropped and then my cheeks warmed up because of the attention we were receiving. They kept screaming and saying things like ‘It’s about time’ and ‘I never liked her’.
Kyle smiled and had me sit down next to him, across from Allie and Brittney who were both trying to get Austin and Jake to calm down and sit before teachers came and they got in trouble.
When both boys finally settled Jake sat down beside Brittney who was in the process of feeding a small bottle of what seemed to be baby formula to the doll in her hands and Austin sat beside Allie and took their ‘baby’ into his hands.
Both of them seemed to be taking the assignment a little too seriously although after a second thought I realized that they should since neither had experience as a parent whereas I and even Kyle did.
Austin was looking down at the baby in his hands but I noticed that Allie wasn’t, she was too busy looking at Austin to notice what he was doing. A sudden thought crossed my mind and I made sure to ask her about it as soon as I could.
Jake however being completely the opposite of Austin wasn’t looking at his doll, he was starring at Brittney.
Even if I couldn’t get Kyle, that wasn’t going to stop me from setting up the two couples in front of me.
I fished out my iPhone from my bag and quickly sent a text to Kyle.
‘Meet me outside after school? I have a plan we need to go over.’
He took his phone out of his pocked. It was probably on vibrate, and looked at the text. He turned his head to look at me and then nodded probably guessing one of the two things that we needed to go over.
The rest of the day went by excruciatingly slow due to the fact that several boys kept wolf whistling at me and a few even came up for my number. Girl glared at me since I actually looked better than them today and I had Kyle beside me all day since we had every class together anyways. Teachers looked at me funny since I wasn’t in my usual attire and I was actually making an effort to listen in class instead of blowing everything off and learning everything at home which was my usual routine.
When the day finally came to an end, I left through the doors of my last class and went to my locker. Kyle came up to me and gave me a kiss on the side of my head and then began to apologize.
“I know you wanted to talk, but coach called a last minute practice since we have a game in about a week and we have to go over the plays and all that, it’s mandatory. Do you want to wait or are you going to pick up Bells?”
“Well I brought Allie here this morning and I don’t know if she has a ride and I usually don’t like waiting too long to pick up Bells. Are you spending the night tonight?”
He nodded his head, “Yeah, I’ll sleep over. Know what, after practice I’ll pick you up. I know my parents miss you and Bells.”
I nodded my head and remembered that I hadn’t seen his parents in weeks and I had promised them when I moved out that I would go over to their house whenever I had the chance.
