Skater Girl (Part 21)
My breath caught in my throat once I had muttered the word and I couldn't seem to say anything else. Kyle was beside me in an instant and was supporting me with both of his arms obviously knowing how much saying that one word had affected me.
I stayed waiting until I heard my mother on the other side of the line, "Kylie, your father and I heard about the skate competition and we wanted to know if you would stop by and have lunch with us maybe tomorrow?"
I starred disbelieving at the phone in my hand and then found the strength to say, "You know what? I'll go," i was going to put these sad excuses of parents in their rightful place and nothing was going to stop me.
Kyle looked taken aback but must have caught the gleam in my eye because he looked a little proud of me that I was going to stand up to my parents.
I hung up the phone and turned to Kyle who said, "Are you going alone?"
I shrugged and said, "Can yo come with me?"
He nodded his head and I continued, "i don't want to take Bells though, they don't deserve to know how wonderful their granddaughter is. They threw me out and they're ging to deal with the consequences."
He smiled at me and said, "Then we'll leave her with her grandparents who would be more than willing to watch her for as long as we need."
I nodded and walked back into the living room.
Jake and Austin looked at me and i muttered, "I'm having lunch with my parents tomorrow."
Jake's mouth dropped while Austin's eyes widened and they both yelled out, "What?"
I shook my head and said, "They heard about the competition, well guess what, I will not go back to them because of my talent and they will not meet Isabella if it's the last thing I do," I sat beside Bells on the floor, crossing my legs and she came over and sat right in the middle. i began to stroke her hair and said, "Those horrible parents of mine do not deserve to know my wonderful little girl."
They both looked at me and gave me smiles as Allie looked taken aback about the way I talked about my parents as if they were evil and Brittney just looked a little confused.
"My parents kicked me out when i was 16," I started. "They had me legally emancipated, and since i was hardly sixteen and had a baby they agreed to pay for anything since they were kicking me out, they just wanted nothing to do with me. They gave me a few millions to start off you know, a house, a car, everything for my house and my daughter. They have never met Isabella and i don't plan on them meeting. i haven't talked to them in almost 3 years. They still send me money every month for food and that kind of stuff but i already have a bank account overflowing with money. I have enough for isabella to go through school and college, for me to go to college and my parents could easily stop sending me money right now and I wouldn't have to work a day in my life."
I had never spent that little bit of information with anyone but Kyle so they all looked rather surprised and Jake said, "So basically you don't tell your parents this and you really will never have to work a day, ever."
I nodded my head and laughed, "That was the plan besides I don't have any siblings and unless the family hotel buisness gets passed along to some random person, the business should be mine someday too. I still don't know what i'm going to do if it is handed to me but i figure I'll find something to do with it. Also, all of the money my parents have is entitled to me, their first and only born and then I really will never have to do anything and probable neither will Isabella.
